Has anyone ever read it? I do not understand what happens at the end? So the old guy was six cause of necromancy magic? Why did the parents turn and scream when the little girl ran to them?

The little girl, if I remember correctly, had undergone some necromantic resurrection ritual. I envision that it would be like a scene out of Steven King's "Pet Cemetary".

A variation of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey%27s_paw story.

She dies, so she's either resurrected changed or gone to a different body.

Both stories are excellent. Pet cemetary was bit odd though.

freakin necromancers?

They only did what the parents asked of them. It's not their fault if their weak peasant minds couldn't handle it.

Just about Necromancers?

Shame. Would've been nicer to have an account of the Chimer exodus really, instead of a story about necromancers.

One of the lesser stories in TES, if you ask me. Most of them have a neat ironic twist at the end, and The Exodus is no different, but its "punchline" (the revelation that they were necromancers) come much too early, and it's obvious from there where the story is going.

Some thing like "I tryed to help her" but it could just be more random crap like one scroll just copys a writ.

Umm what?

Yea, that's what I was trying to figure out... I think he means that he found a random scroll that said (apparently) "I tried to help her", and he connected that 'her' to the one in The Exodus for some reason, I think...
