The Real Barenziah.

I laughed so hard when I found out that the Temple of Tribunal is powerful enough to censor books in Cyrodiil.

I found the Mythic Dawn Commentaries interesting.

I like many books original to morrowind and Oblivion, I cant really pick a favorite.

Hmm... Cyrodiil has nothing on Morrowind.

Jo'Basha has more books than the entire province combined.

My personal favorites are The Armorers Challenge, the 2920 Series, Varieties of Faith, Vampires of Vvardenfell, How Orsinium Passed to the Orcs, A Game at Dinner, The Black Arrow, and The Gold Ribbon of Merit.

Oh, and of course, let me not forget my favorite ES book, Withershins...

Lord! I almost forgot King Edward! Easily the most well-written series in the entire Elder Scrolls series.

Abernanit. Funny how it works... Abernanit is in the Bitter Coast and there isn't a tower to be seen.

Hello, I created this topic.
Anyway, I read an excellent book today, called "The Third Door." I found it in the Ayleid ruin Atatar, and it's really a great read. It's a large poem about a warrior woman with a big axe who likes to kill things :gun:. It's great.

I'm quite fond of a certain treatise on the root system present in The Shivering Isles, if only because its so perfectly insane.

The first half starts out quite rationally and scientifically, and by the last page the author has gone bat[censored] insane and is screaming about giant sapient root systems stealing color out of the universe and driving people into dementia.

Some of my favorites include...

-Withershins, which is incredibly funny, cleverly written (all the conversations do flow alphabetically!), and had a great twist ending.

-The Axe Man, a rather dark and twisted fable with an ironic and satisfying end.

-Bone, which is abundant with disturbing imagery and dark humor.

Aside from that, I enjoyed the Sixteen Accords of Madness that were available, and really wish the other thirteen come about in the future.

"Purloined Shadows" is, by far, the best new book in Oblivion. It even beats out a lot of the old ones moved from Morrowind for me.

Remanada, Song of Pelinal, The Adabal-a, etc. pretty much anything that just confuses the hell out of you as you read it.

I forget the name now, but I really liked the one with the two Dunmer talking about how to make Bonemold armor.

Lessee, the one about the axe-murdering child in MW. Chance's Folly, The Armorer's Challenge and The Lusty Argonian Maid (For the jokes, I assure you.).

I've read so many that I can't remember them all, but anything on the theology and cosmology of Nirn, anything about Ayleids or other TES mysteries, and Pelinal's Song come to mind at the moment. One I liked from Morrowind is one of the first ones you get early in the game, about a traveler going to Valenwood and describing the palace of the Silvenar and at the end how short he was.

My favorites are usually the books that have to do with the Daedra, however, in a rather shallow way, I'll have to say that my favorite is the Tome of Unlife. It looks like the booklet of a Black Metal cd or something. Like I said, it is for a rather superficial reason...

I'm sure there is a copy in Cyrodiil, and does it really matter where you find the book? If he said, "in Oblivion" than that would be one thing, but this is truly another.
