I tried the download three times.
First up I got over 7MB of the 8.97MB down when the little box told me the download was complete, and got an error message when installing (that files were missing).
The second and thrid tries resulted in less than 1MB of the download being saved before the download ended.

Is it just me or is the file corrupted? :brokencomputer:

Just tried it once, and worked fine for me :mellow: So keep trying!

You could try various things, though, like clearing the browser cache or using another browser.

what internet explorer do you use? also, do you have a stable internet connection?

It plays in the tiny tiny really tiny dos box OK but at full screen it goes crazy.
Anyone know the correct CPU cycle to run it at and the right frame skip setting too?

I've got a 20" widescreen Samsung btw.

Before you start the game type the following two lines in DOSBox.

CORE DYNAMIC
CYCLES 15000

That should make things run rather ok.

If the fullscreen is nasty, open dosbox.conf and tinker with the settings. I guess these things would do good.
fullresolution=1680x1050
aspect=true
output=openglnb

The dosbox.conf won't let me save any changes.
It tells me to make sure the path and file name are correct.

Are you using vista? If so you have to run notepad or whatever you're making the changes with as an administrator.

Here's a screen shot of the error message.

I get to the last step and try to save the change (I only changed the fullresolution=1680x1050[from = original]) an get a message I can't create the file.

Did it work to run notepad as an administrator? That is the error message you get when you try to change stuff without admin priviliges. Vista is really somewhat annoying sometimes.

I didn't realize you had to manualy open the file each time in admistrator mode! :facepalm:

Now for some gameplay questions.

First:
Leveling:

From 1 -2 I got five bonus points and from 2 - 3 I got six.
Is it a random number you get and does it increase based upon level?

Second:

Where should I go when leaving the first dungeon (assuming there is going to be a choice)?

I'm a High Elf. Should I head to my homeland?

I'm a Nightblade btw.

I tried a pure Mage but the first goblin I met kicked my butt so I went with a mage class that had a little better weapon choice and some thieving skills.
All I'm finding is plate stuff for warriors though, no leather armor at all... <_<

I'd like to get a short bow too to check out the range killing abilities. :gun:

The amount of point to add to your attributes are random, going from 4 to 6 I think.

When you get out of the initial dungeon you will always come to your races home province.

There isn't any leather armor, all of them are made of different metals or cultures. The only differences between different armors are their armor rating and the color, however certain classes can only wear certain armors.

Edit: The http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Arena is a good place to start looking for answers to various arena related questions. Avoid the quest walkthrough though if you don't want to spoil it.

I guess I picked the right race.
