Hello guys. I've been playing Daggerfall lately and I wanted to join Akatosh Chantry (temple) faction but I can't find one anywhere, wherever I go I just find The Order of the Hour, which is the knightly faction related to Akatosh and supposedly a different faction. I've been in Bergama, Isle of Balfiera and Wayrest, I've asked townspeople for directions for "temple of Akatosh" but it's always the same, I can't find that faction anywhere. Is it supposed to be like this? I gave up, I tried reinstalling the game several times, with and without patches, both official and unofficial but it's always the same.

What exactly do you mean by 'it's always the same'? You could always try to go to the blue towns on the map, which are sometimes a small town block where the temple is essentially the only major building there. And if you look at your map when you're in a town, temples will be blue (so will knightly orders and other guilds).

I tried the blue towns but I only find Order of the Hour buildings, I've traveled from city to city, I've asked people around for directions to an Akatosh Chantry but wherever I go I find a Order of the hour building...

I don't have Daggerfall installed right now so I cannot confirm the following, but have you tried to join the Order of the Hour (save first so you can undo it) and checked your affiliations? I seem to remember that when you join Order of the Hour it is actually the Akatosh Chantry that shows up in your list of factions. Might depend on where you join though.

The temples and their knightly orders offer identical quests and services, and their buidlings also. I noticed your thread on the uesp forums that this is mainly for RP purposes. Well, even the game universe is pretty clear that they are one and the same, to be in one is to be in the other.

This is correct. When joining (in a temple identified as the Order of the Hour) they even ask if you would like to join the Akatosh Chantry.

Well, it seems you were right. I joined the Order of the Hour and the only thing related to that faction I've got was the name of the building. Even the priestess I talked too to join the temple never said anything about "the order of the hour", she just said if I wanted to join to Akatosh Chantry, odd. When I checked my affiliations I was indeed affiliated with the chantry, not the order.
There is something wrong going on still, I've seen temples AND knightly orders of other gods clearly identified by their buildings, this just happened with Akatosh, so I guess it's some kind of bug.
