So I took the four eyes trait and am willing to forgo full helmets and such but I'm wondering what the earliest opportunity to get glasses is. Anyone know?

In Doc Mitchell's house, right across from where you start the game, there's a pair of reading glasses on the counter or something IIRC.

I hear it hurts unlocking perks, as the glasses bonus does not can't towards the requirement. But the permanent -1 does.

Yeah.. I made a character with a 6 perception.. to the four eyes trait which lowers it to 5. Glasses have a plus two on them but you can't get any perception related perks that are past 5. Not what I had thought it would be.

While clearing Primm, which is a semi short walk south, I looted a couple Hat with Glasses combos from some escaped convicts. +1 Perception.
