Unless Dead Money has a hell of a lot of extra content, and isn't the usual 2-3 hour DLC that we got in Fallout 3, I'm going to have to call it "wildly unnecessary". It's hard enough to get to level 30, let alone 35.

Doesn't affect me, as I play with a level cap mod anyway. Once I stop getting XP the game loses a little somethin'.

But I think for the people who would like it left at 30, the devs should give you the option of raising your skills or not. Instead of not being able to continue until you've used up your skill points, you should just be able to skip that and the perks if you'd rather. Unless you can already do this O_o

raise it with a major expansion or after all dlc expansions are out. 30 is easy just jump around to CAZ or DC territory over and over. kinda svcks perks are every other level so raising after a bit would be cool...have a more well rounded toon

Not bothered either way to be frank ( puts on a silly voice ).
Sometimes I would like to level more, other times I hit the spot where I won't gain anything in the role other than filler and head to the MQ asap.

I personally find hard to reach to the level cap before completing the game, the perk per 2 levels was alright, but i hope that we have a option where we cant raise the skills after lv 30, i dont want a god-like character again

but bleh, it just me, maybe i have luck and find a level cap limiter to stay at 30 ;D

I'm still not clear whether the level cap applies only to the DLC. If that's the case, I have no problem with it. Plus since I'm on PC it doesn't matter because my XP mod keeps me below 25 anyway, unless I want to spend weeks grinding monsters.

So bottom line:Unless, like someone said, the DLC has tons of xp plus harder or whatever, I don't think raising the cap is necessary but I don't care too much if they do it.

I remain completely apathetic to the level cap.

I think that's part of the main draw to get people to buy the DLC. If it were just in a universal patch, regardless of whether or not you bought it, it would somewhat denote the value of the DLC. Just my opinion.

As for my take on the actual increase myself, its just saying congratulations for, "Yay! You've done enough killing / questing in order to me to see you fit to level. Now get back to work!", for another 5 times. Even after those 5 times, I'll probably still be working.

I hope by the time the DLC comes around to the PC, I'll have my 6th character all ready to go for it. It'll be the first one that has an XP mod to slow its progress actually.. I guess I just want the base game to last longer as I clearly have gotten a bit too used to playing with normal XP, regardless of weapon types.

Funny how much time was spent bashing Bethesda over the "unbalance" of their level cap, but now we have a lot of..

"Welll...I..uh...I don't care. It doesn't make a difference."

I haven't beat the game once and I already have three different characters capped at 30. It is waaaaay too easy to get to level 30. I'm really anticipating the raise in the cap, mainly so that I can get some more perks to play with.

Personally, I'm glad they're raising the cap because my philosophy about human nature is that with the proper devotion you're potential is limitless.

Also, I'm achin' for some new perks related to repair and energy weapons(fingers crossed).

An utterly needless tweak which makes an already easy game even easier. Not too big of a deal though, I just don't see the practical point of it.

I like it. I usually hit the cap with lots of quests and exploring still left to do, and not gaining XP...it just makes it pointless.

I hope it does come out for PC. I don't see why they need to make the cap higher. As long as they don't add stupid super powered creatures with many thousand HP like Broken Steel did for FO3. It would be nice if the devs also included a tweak to the perks so that we only get it every three levels or make that and option. Could do that by bringing back Skilled as a trait so every two becomes every three.

Well Obsidian balanced the game a lot better as long as enemies get a post level 30 boost I don't see it being that big of an issue. By time you hit level 30 you've gone through a lot of the games content unless you were grinding or ignoring the MQ it's easy to beat the game by level 15 so a lot of the additional skill points will be incedental, maybe allowing you to max a few already high skill or try a new one since you'd get roughly 70 points with maxed Int and the +2 skill points perk. I don't see that unbalanceing the system too badly especially if enemies get a boost. And even if they don't the top tier enemies are still going to be a threat because they'll still kill in 2-4 hits.

I noticed that with the last official patch they raised the companion level cap from 20 to 40. I hope that wasn't an indication that they were planning on going that far with the player level cap...

If it comes with new perks (and good ones I might add, no "Almost Perfect"s please) then why not?

Well, time for me to nerf my characters once again for a decent challenge.... Woohoo.... <_<

Well, there's no permanent continuation to Fallout: NV so I wouldn't see the point. There would have to be new perks etc. Worthless considering you wouldn't really need it

The problem is, WHAT IF they want to raise the level cap per DLC, goodnes, God-like characters again, ladycrimson, what mod you say about level cap only to 25, i even find that very good
