I have mentioned this issue before on other topics slightly, but i want to make my feelings more evident

-- I have 2 level 30 characters, both have been basically everywhere in the map that i could go to, and it is all... so empty....

There isn't much to do now other than walk around, kill the few fiends that respawn to the west of vegas, then go south to kill some super mutants on black mountain...

I don't like fighting cazadors and deathclaws either, as they are pretty boring to battle against, they just charge and slash/stab

SO

what do you guys feel on this issue? do you agree? do you disagree? either way, what are some suggestions for keeping my characters busy now that most all of my enemies (which i think there weren't enough of in the first place)(human ones, i mean) are dead and don't respawn (like cottonwood cove).

Roleplay:

Pretend your character got ambushed and was left to die; how original. So... place all your equipment somewhere and go find it. Put it somewhere dangerous. I don't know. Then blame someone in your head and kill them. Blame Doc Mitchell or The crippled Ranger at Novac. Seems fair and logical. :P

OR

You could just kill everything and everyone; worth a try, few kicks in it.

well, i don't want to sacrifice my character's relationships or anything, as when the dlc's come out i don't want the results to be screwed up

I'm contemplating getting the pc version (after i find out if my laptop can play games well) so i can add mods and things (after i learn to do that too)

Cave Guardian is fun.

I really think you should ignore, if not take a leap of faith about the factions. I wage war on NCR after I have done all side quest for some hunting.

@Styles

i have, with both my characters

i do still have two more characters to play with (house and legion), but im not really in the mood to play them atm. wouldn't take too long to get to 30 and be in the same predicament anyways

This game just feels small scale (compared to fallout 3) probably because only the middle 3/5ths of the map is playable, while the sides are empty (for now at least).

I've done cave guardian, and i would like to keep my factions basically intact because future dlc's will probably include them

With my BoS/Yes Man character, i would be fighting the NCR more but there is a glitch and i am in a constant "merciful thug" rank :P

I destroyed forlorn hope with that character, and i am planning on taking out mccarran tho

For me New Vegas is better. I hated the pointless spawing raiders and talon company, towns with only 2 people. Have you tried breaking all the casinos? Collect 100 NCR dog tags for the legion without upsetting NCR or 100 legion ears for NCR without upsetting the legion or both :D.

Talk to private sixton at Camp Forlorn Hope, he will give you the bounty on the ears. Aurelius of Phoenix at Cottonwood Cove for the dog tags.

FNV seems to be designed to be played through multiple times with different characters, rather than playing it none-stop with one character. Whereas Fallout 3 was the polar opposite... Which is another reason why it is a black sheep...

Play a new game. Single player games aren't meant to continue for eternity.

These.

For good or ill, these would seem to be your only options besides getting really creative.

You could always go for Fallout Plan C.
