what i mean is, when i check the reputation screen under the stats tab in the pip boy menu, about half of the factions are inexplicably missing (including the NCR, ceasars legion, and the brotherhood of steel). i was previously "liked" by the NCR and brotherhood and "vilified" by the legion. now...nothing...

also, the soldiers in front of the NCR embassy in vegas attack me for no reason...i'm not dressed as any faction and haven't done anything to mess up my reputation with them...

just wondering if theres an explanation for this?

What's your current armor?

T-51 power armor, NOT the brotherhood type, though.

Did you wear any kind of faction armor before, because there is a glitch where the game will sometimes think you still wear faction armor even if you take it off

hmmm, hard to say. i wore a powder ganger getup very early in the game, but i'm about 25 hours in and never had problems before.

Do you have jury rigging?

Did you repair any armor using the armor you were wearing?

If you say repair a suit of armor with a suit of faction armor your wearing the disguise won't be properly removed.

...i think i may have done this...

i haven't actually played the game in awhile so i'll try removing the armor and seeing if the problem persists...

but would that explain reputations disappearing altogether?

You should find another set of faction armor and equip/unequip it, that should work.
I think it also explains reputations dissapearing; pretty sure wearing faction armor
sets reputation to neutral, but not sure if this is the case for all factions.

okay, i tried it out and it worked!

took a little more fiddling around than i expected, though.

equipping/unequipping other faction armor brought back the reputation stats, but didn't clear the brotherhood costume (i used it to repair another set of armor while i was still wearing it). luckily i had an earlier save from before the repair so i just loaded that up, went through the steps, and it works fine now.
