Seriously, if you look at NCR Fatigues, which has none of the plates on it, it's 26 pounds, what are those clothes made from? Steel?

Or worse. They Dun Goof'd :cryvaultboy:

@Omega, that would be a great idea. Making a Deathclaw hide armor, which is highly valuable, as the only to make one is to kill 5 deathclaws.

They are made of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertex_%28computer_graphics%29.

If you however want to know what they should represent, I'll say they represent something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_plates also known as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brigandine sometimes. In essence steel or other plates under textile or leather which holds them together.

This is what I speak off: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/NCR_Trooper_Armor. It has DT of 10 and is considered medium armour. Is there something lighter which is NCR specific?

I think most people are talking about the caravaneer outfit, and I think there is another ncr armor that has only like 5, or 6 DT also weighing in at 26 pounds. Also the Field Hand, and Prospector outfits weighs like 15 pounds lol. When they look like they should weigh about the sqame as prewar cloths

How about because whoever was responsible on the Dev team had attention deficit disorder and just reused the same template for several armors and only changed the textures and name. They probably had no military experience and didn't know that fatigues are clothing and not armor.

Probably the same guy who nerfed the Sheriff's Duster (with even less excuse because there is only one in the game.)
