does anyone know the best weapon to kill deathclaws and where to get it from

Anti-Materiel Rifle with .50 cal. armor piercing/incendiary rounds at the Gunrunners.

The best weapon depends on your character development: Guns, Meele, Energy, etc., etc.

I prefer to attack them from height and distance and therefor use: Gause Rifle, Anti-Materiel Rifle, Grenade Machinegun, Gattling Laser, or even Sniper Rifle.

Or even Cowboy Repeater.

This Machine Kills Deathclaws. I did it at lvl 15/16 with This Machine, no snipers.

ycs bst lon range weapon for pretty much anything.Depending if theres groups mines are mandatory/brush gun with swc will make u happy.

C4 + Detonator. <3

High ground + any ranged weapon with lots of ammo.

If you are a melee character, I would suggest Turbo + Fire Axe to the back. With the appropriate melee related perks, it is a beast.

He's the best weapon for anything. Oh, you meant something you can hold in your hands? I do some good damage with the Gauss Rifle. The BOS has one but I think I got this one somewhere else...can't remember right now though. I'll come back and edit my post if I recall. Ok, I must have gotten it at the Silver Rush. Use Max Charge MF cells when firing at Deathclaws.

The deadliest weapon available is the Silenced .22 Pistol. It's just epic.

The Anti-Materiel Rifle and the Alien Blaster

I don't understand what you find so appealing about the .22 xD. And the most effective weapon in my opinion is the AMR at long range and This Machine/Alien Blaster (depending on your Gun + EW skill) at closer ranges. If you are under level 20 or so, when going into close range with Deathclaws, some Jet wouldn't be amiss either (just to VATS-[censored]).

I don't, it was a joke. My main haul is a silenced 10mm, silenced sniper rifle, and a hunting shotgun.

The Alien Blaster, Pick the wild waste land trait head to Horowitz farm go north kill the aliens then Go to the rock quarry kill all the death claws go north along the rail road tracks in front of Sloan and kill all of the Death claws from there to the junction 15 Railway station and go to the bootleg shack don't remember were that is and kill all the Cazadors behind it . You'll only have about 200 shots but you shouldn't use more than 100 for all that. And you'll get Massive exp. :tops:

Ya'll gotta try this:

Go get the Unique BB gun. Go get in the bucket up above Gypsum Train Yard. Go in to sneak and tear up some deathclaws with a BB gun. It is hilarious. Seriously.

Throwing knives (if I have them damn restocks)
shovel (digging things not fighting)
and melee/unarmed weapon.

I dont see the point of a silenced sniper if you get caught, its rare but still may aswell get the AM rifle out.

Seems like overkill but all situations... But still not too heavy.
Sadly I had to reload due to ed-e turning hostile. I just cleared sloan with AP rounds, ratslayer, assault carbine and a hell of alot of chems/stims.
I need to buy some of those guns (antimaterial and riot shotgun) again.

Oh and c4 with a detonator, when I can afford it.
I wish I could get close and set up some mines, but I can only get close with a stealthboy, which seems like a waste.
Where can I get a constant supply of stealthboys ?

I cleared Quarry Junction with a fully modded laser rifle firing OverCharge... but that was really hard... AMR/Gauss Rifle are the best choices.

YCS/186: The YCS/186 is a unique Gauss rifle and can easily be obtained by killing a group of mercenaries northeast of Jacobson Town and north of the ransacked caravan on the road to Jacobson Town. If you know where the aliens are, the mercenaries are nearby. There is a catch though: You must NOT take the Wild Wasteland Trait in the beginning of the game, if you do, they will be replaced by aliens.

The YCS/186 is probably the best weapon at range in the game and when you spec to meltdown and laser commander while getting your energy weapon skill maxed out you can take out groups of Deathclaws including Alfa Males and the Deathclaw Mother and even the Legendary Deathclaw with minimal effort. Just be sure you are at range so you don't kill yourself in the process.

Hunting rifle fully modded, fast shot, rapid reload, finesse, better criticals and .308 jsp ammo, for long to mid range...
As it has speed, strength, range, accuracy magazine count and plentufull ammo, it really is the best multi task high strength gun imo.

Up close a hunting shotgun or riot shotgun loaded with slugs, but even a caravan will do early on if needed.

Mid range good RoF elephant killer Brush gun if you have the ammo, trail carabine if not.

Stealth kills at max range sniper rifle, but a varmit fully modded with 5.56 AP rounds or .223 rounds will do the job as well but slower.
12.7 both pistol and SMG will tear through and remain quit if silenced.

Marksman will give great ROF when facing two up close, with AP or .223 will tear through them as well.

Even better a light machine gun will shread quickly.

EW's, Plasma caster, Multi plas, gauss rifle are true 100% easy quick kills, before the patch I wiped out Death claw promintory with a plasma defender so post patch it'll be even easier.
Tesla cannon or the special version will take out multipules.

Unarmed Balastic fist, but spiked knuckles or love and hate mano et deathclaw will work too.
Melee anything above sledge hammer will make easy work of a single one.

Explosives, lay mines then use a missile launcher it takes more shots than EW's but this is just due to almost no direct damage on impact it'll still criple many limbs and kill a Mother / alpha in three hits on normal difficulty.
