CWH Weird carried objects unuseable

Been playing around with devmode console and the giveallitems gives a couple of strange tools which I cannot figure out how to use. One looks like some sort of single button detonator, the other makes me think of a high tech version of the thing a bee keeper squirts smoke to tame the insects..
the item are next to the scanner device in their order of scroll/selection
What are they and what do they do?
