EARN BIG, STARTING TOMORROW!

Starting this Thursday, 26th May at 9am (PST) and running up until Monday, 30th at 12am (PST), Crysis 2 will be dishing out double-XP across all three platforms! There's no restrictions on game modes or maps, so grab your friends and earn some new gadgets and guns... and lots of XP, of course!

We'll be monitoring the stats over the weekend and will be offering prizes to the best XP earners on each platform. It doesn't matter how much XP you've got now, it's all about how much you can earn during the double-XP weekend, so anyone can join in and show 'em who's boss!

Prizes include:

? Crysis 2 Figurine
? Crysis 2 Nanosuit T-Shirt
? Crysis Legion Novel
? Crysis Lanyard
? Crysis DogTag
? gamesas Sticker/Badges

If you have successfully applied the live update for the double-XP weekend, the news ticker will say: "Double XP all weekend! Jump online now to boost your rank..."

Console players, as mentioned in the above PC thread, in order to download the live update for the double-XP weekend, you need to quit out of the Multiplayer menu, back to the Main menu and then reload the Multiplayer menu. So if you're already playing, please exit out of multiplayer then go back in to download the double-XP weekend update.
At this time, all players should ensure they exit to the main menu and re-enter the multiplayer menu. This is because you will then download the live update [when reloading the multiplayer section of the game] and will then be able to see all the updated servers. If you do not do this menu exit and reload step then you will eventually end up with no servers as all servers would have updated and the user has not, like what a normal patch would do.

Why are you doing this during finals / exams week? Worst marketing anolysts ever working for you, CryTek... Lemme guess, some moron contracted to CryTek UK, and not CryTek GMBH? You're losing a lot of potential gamers this weekend to university students studying.

You do know that there are universities that have already had finals, right? Plus there are summer sessions, so there's always going to be different parts of the college gamer population that are going to be unavailable. Just be glad they decided to do it on a three day weekend (Memorial Day is Monday, so no classes).

In UK its a bank holiday on Monday too. So I think it works out well. Since those people who are working now will have a chance to get on - including myself. (If all goes well)

No, unranked is just that, UNranked, for practice and for letting your noob friends play on your machine.

And the people boosting their EXP in CTR are the only ones being able to get prices as they already earn like 100k exp per hour... So, unless THAT'S fixed there won't be any prices for legally playing players...

LOL, sounds like "Cryiers" are loosing grip and interest in C2 so they want to attract ppl by double XP. I wonder how many ppl have already stopped playing "this" game apart from me?
