Lincoln's Repeater was a fun little gun. Zero bullet drift, and hit like a mach truck. Unfortunately, I could very rarely find ammo for it, so I hoarded that stuff and saved it for when it was time to Emancipate.
My only complaint about Revolution Era rifles, is the reload. You got ONE shot before you had to break out the blasting cap, black powder, and ball. This is why in old Colonial and even Civil War movies, they're just standing their, reloading their weapons and hoping they were fast enough getting those big long buggers loaded before the other side got theirs ready.
The magazine and multi-shot weaponry really turned the tide in the 19th century. Granted, Colonial Minutemen militia's got around the stand-and-shoot practice of war by using hit and run tactics adopted from Native American braves, hiding their numbers by taking a shot, and abandoning their rifle to get another one that was laying in wait. Old age Guerilla warfare.
