The DLC is worth $5 imo so if Far Harbor is great I got my money worth. Wasteland workshop is dead to me already

They want fan feedback and that's what I'm giving them. I'm not cursing them out. I'm telling them what I hope to see in the future. Nothing wrong with that even if its unpopular...

Automatron is approaching the Platonic Ideal of "$10 DLCs". That's how good it is.

Agreed, don't know how so many think this is worth $10 to even more..

This goes for all forums and that's one of reasons they exist. Also, devs bashing haters is never a good thing and is rightfully frowned upon.

It's not up to opinions: they have vendors, quests, denizens, etc. All that every major settlement has. Is it related to a faction or not does not matter.

I do believe apologies are in order, it's been a rough day for me, and I've been just a tad bit too sarcastic. After reading over my posts, one of my buddies said I should calm down a bit, and I agree with him, for once :P.

However, I still stand behind my ideals for Automatron, you got what was advertised plus some more, which is pretty good imo.

Hopefully, FO5 will already have stuff like the upcoming Survival Mode, Workshop and Automatron already in it.

Ummm ok...

I see a pointless complaint against a fabulous DLC, but I don't see Bethesda bashing anywhere. Take a breather. The complaint is unfounded, but that's all it is.

What I do see in this thread, however, is a little embarrassing to say the least -- lots of hate and negativity being thrown around on both sides. Sometimes, I wonder why I'm even a fan...but I've been playing their games for over two decades. I might as well have a stake in their company at this point. :P

That makes no sense. With that logic, there is only one person in the game because my opinion is that only the player is a person.

Trust me, if I was president, we would be living in Fallout 4 right now.

i really becoming cynic but all the QQ about Fallout 4 or the DLC come from "enclave" user names lol.

Dude ur logic of comparing the DLC first to old game and then to Witcher 3 is just plain bad.

Witcher 3 add a good story on the DLC but add 0 mechanics or content (if u just go and read review number 1 complain was that anything u get on the DLC was out power by craft items)

Anyway, Bethesda actually did a good Marketing with the DLC and was true to what they promise. If u dont like it why u buy it????

Sometimes people buy things they end up not liking, like MOO3. I'm still depressed about that release, 15 years later.

Well, there use to be this great game series called Masters of Orion. Excellent series, and then they came out with this abomination of a game, called Masters of Orion 3. I spent a solid $50 dollars on that game. $50 dollars I'll never get back. I didn't know that the game was going to be that terrible. $50 dollars later, and I'm still paying.

That has to be a classic example of a franchise completely going off the rail lulz, yikes that was -terrible- can't even find the right word for that game, lol, "terrible" might not suffice. It might happen to FO or TES oneday (although I don't foresee or anticipate it anytime soon).

But yeah, plenty of other examples of once heralded franchises careening off into inevitable decline and ruination, like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider, Halo, Madden Football, Battlefield, etc.,

That's what I would hope. I wonder if they'd be able to reuse some of the resources, or if it will release on the next gen of consoles and they'll build from scratch like this game.

Poor Metal Gear. At least Kojima's last one was amazing, although sadly unfinished.

Today, I spent $14 at a fast food restaurant. About 6 hours later, I flushed what I couldn't digest down the toilet.

The point is: you can't put a price on value. What you're "nervous" about is ridiculous, especially given how you summed up the DLC. Having a bunch of custom bots in the Commonwealth (+1 following, if you desire) is pretty neat. Then there are the endless quests of synth, er, bot hunting, which means the DLC doesn't really end.

Granted, it's definitely no Shivering Isles, but then again, Shivering Isles wasn't $10, now was it?

To me, I saw this DLC as equal in content as Skyrim's Hearthfire. Not much to it, but damn fun to have it added to the game nonetheless.

So I'm not nervous. If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that Bethesda really learned its lesson from the moronic decision to sell HORSE ARMOR for $5.

When compared to that, this DLC is a bargain.

The thing is, Automatron wasn't anything like Bethesda's $5 dollar horse-armor. They told us in advance what it would be, and it included more than I expected. For $10, you can't go wrong. It's less than a price of a marvel movie with more content.

The only thing I wish Bethesda would do is release free DLC on top of their priced DLC items like back in the good old Morrowind days. All in all, with Fallout 4 and it's future DLC, for the price, you're getting a bargain.

Annoying, yes, yes it is.

Doesn't matter which game it is or what the forum, there's always someone unhappy with the work "insert game making company name here" has put in on their latest release. DLC to small/expensive/uninteresting. Maps to big/small or boring, not enough/too many radiant quests, "immersion breaking" things etc etc etc. Then there'll be a list a mile long of what they think should be in the game. Now don't get me wrong, everyone's entitled to an opinion and I've seen some awesome ideas scattered amongst the just plain stupid. But seriously we'd never see a released title if everything that everyone with an idea they thought was good was included. These games already take years to produce and have to have stuff left out due to time/space constraints, do we want to play them in our life time or what??? That's a big reason for the whole DLC thing. Fixes some bugs, puts things in that had to be left out for some reason and adds a bit more content. Still takes time & money to produce so asking for it for free also feels a bit cheeky.
