I'm nervous about this DLC, I hope it turns out well, I hope the Arena/Taming is well made and maybe an extra larger location for building.

This is why I wish they focus on story base DLC with new locations. So many settlement mods already exist.

Desperately want settlement raids to actually be expanded upon. Right now settlement building is fun but it just feels like there's zero point beyond that. What's the point of building a huge, amazing wall and raiders spawn inside and always in the same spot? I want to see some more unique boss-types and their minions attacking and structural integrity to all objects. It's also beyond maddening they just open your gates with no effort. As person above me has posted, so many settlement mods already exist so while more stuff to plop down is great...I worry its going to feel underwhelming. Homemaker alone adds 1000+ existing objects. Although admittedly arenas do sound cool so I'm at least curious.

I hoping for levers that can drop random items into the battles. Radiation barrels, weapons, Deathclaws. Things to spice it up!

And I would like a reigning champion with top 10 list of contestants. And an announcer to pump up the crowd with a 30 second introduction.

I am also hoping that the arenas have full cage option. The crowd could be on top like a Megadeth film clip from the 80's. :goodjob:

You know what I really want? More locations to use as settlements, like Robotics Pioneer Park, Lynn Woods, Fairline Hill Estates, and even some new places, like that one little park on the coast of downtown Boston with the Radstags near Old North Church. In terms of new stuff to build:

- Food planters

- Campfires and barrel fires

- Concrete Structure kits

- Quiet generators

- Scaffolding and metal catwalk sets

- Christmas-Tree style lights

- Expanded metal structures to match what wooden structures get - good wall end pieces, corner pieces that fit more consistently.

I also hope the taming/arena mechanics have as much freedom as the robot crafting in Automatron. Like being able to tame Deathclaws and use them as guard dogs, or tame Raiders and recruit them as settlers, instead of just throwing them into a death pit.

Yea was just at fairline, was thinking to myself this would be a great place for a settlement. Seeing how it says tame or fight them, I'm hoping for follower like animals like with the enclave deathclaws from fo3 at minimum.

Yes, yes, and yes! Forget attack dogs, the Minutemen shall have War Deathclaws clad in armor!

I would definately like to see the ability to use humans you "tame" as guards and such. Also maybe the ability to recruit Minutemen at settlements for use as guards instead of settlers.

I'll build an arena just to have a different building in my town. I'll have to see if the mechanic is worth it, Bethesda usually does a good job.

For settlements, I want cats, of course. Also more things for settlers to do, like fishing, hunting, repairing, and more entertainment for them.

It looks like more building options are coming, and anything new and different would be cool. Cleaning up of course.

I'm also looking forward to getting mods on my PS4. Since I refuse to use a Windows machine I'm stuck, so this will be great.

  • Ability to remove the fusion reactors from automobiles to use to make generators.

  • Ways to snap on to preexisting structures

  • Good fitting patches to sloped roofs or ability to remove the roofs and replace with flat ones.

  • Ways to align to existing structures - match the angle and x, y, z positions as desired. It takes a lot of work to do this right otherwise.

  • Player objects should cause the NPC paths to change. Any wall should break the path so no more NPCs walking into walls.

  • Move all the enemy spawn points outside the settlements so our walls, turrets and guards can work properly

  • NPCs automatically repair damaged objects if the resources are available

  • NPCs automatically clean - assign a janitor etc. to remove all refuse piles.

  • Computer console so you can see all your settlers for a given settlement and what they are doing

  • " see your total of each junk type

  • " editable log so I can remember which settlers I equipped with my best weapons.

  • Settler names

  • Settlers equip themselves from special containers based on job. Example: a box for farmer equipment. Player hits a button and all the farmers take items from the farmer box that are better than what they are currently carrying for all slots (weapons and armor). Maybe a box for everyone for those settlements where you do not care to micromanage that much. No more visiting every settler to equip them.

  • Reasons to have better construction materials and techniques. For example, maybe a quest to conquer the stone quarry to get more stone wall and floor options.

  • Windows for all walls

  • Differing movement speeds for all settlers.

  • All settler AI should have a random time variation so they don't do thinks robot-perfectly synchronized like only performing artists do. Example - don't all stand at exactly the same microsecond to go to bed.

  • This one would be difficult to implement I realize: Totally destructible settlement. It would requires some gravity effects so things would collapse correctly. To fix it, you would get a blueprint or ghost display of what it looked like before and a list of all the materials needed to make it right. That way you don't have to redo all the decorating and positioning. Maybe some decorating items would just need to be re-positioned. Maybe settlers automatically start doing repair animations and when you come back things are fixed if you had enough materials banked. NPC Raider and gunner "settlements"/forts should also be destructible.

I realize mods achieve some of the items in this list, but most if it really should have been in the base game.

Since they already used two existing locations in Automatron and gave them new purpose, maybe they'll Combat Zone. Auto had a plot line to intergrate the mechanics, why not WW? They could have Cait's old boss contact us to help him get Combat Zone back on its feet and slowly show us how to make our own arenas as a part of a franchise.

A bit unfair considering not everybody uses mods. I don't use mods that add content to the game like homemaker etc, so this DLC is the one I've been excited about the most

Metal walk ways and stairs

Toilets that aren't broken

Electric lift's and walkways like what most Gunner settlements have

Double and bunk beds

The locker type storage

Clean Institute type building materials and decorations

More decorative items in general i.e. hospital gurneys, sinks, different lightning.

Be able to scrap bodies

I wouldn't mind this. However, I'm more interested in fixing pre-war buildings in general. Be it Sanctuary or other settlements. For example, the Lighthouse settlement near the top right corner of the map would be an amazing home for the player if ya could just repair the roof of the existing pre-war building there... Hell, it would even make sense for the Far Harbor DLC too (you can have your boat to the island stationed at your home there).

~Edit~

Another thought, ability to 'erase data' on pre-existing Terminals on Settlements. That same house I mentioned also already have a terminal in it. I would love to erase the Atom logs on it and use it as my own personal terminal.

I'd like the following (sorry if someone's already posted these):

-A 'Blueprint' of each settlement (possibly tied with a perk) that allows you to mod the core elements of the settlement. Using this 'Blueprint' you'd be able to fix broken houses (Sanctuary), ideally expand the borders (Jamaica Plains), hollow out certain buildings (Hangman's Alley adjacent buildings), etc.

-A 'Cash Register' variant for each of the shops. The shop designs seem like they are intended for the outdoors, so a cash register variant could be used as an alternative for the indoors.

-Barber Shops for your settlement. Ideally impacting the look of your settlers (cleaner cuts, less scruffy beards, etc.).

-Random Name Generator for NPCs, alongside more face and clothing variations. I am currently getting duplicate NPCs which is erksome, the random name generators should ideally develop a stronger attachment between yourself and your settlements/settlers.

-NPC interactable objects. Like settlers playing pool at the pool table you've placed down, basketball at the net, and maybe even run into couples dancing besides the jukebox.

-Computer Gaming Stations, with a highscore list and everything, so you can watch your Settlets beat you at Red Menace... Games you collect will auto-upload to all your computers.

-More settlement pet variations, like Cats, Glowfish, etc. (I think this is somewhat confirmed with the ability to capture deathclaws).

-Tweaks to the mechanics such as an ability to toggle the Auto-attach, ability to set a rotation when attaching an object, etc. to make life easier.

-More variations of current items. This ones a given, I'd be dead surprised if we didn't get new furniture.

Automatron is great, the best holotape game yet. Maybe its because i'm on console and the joystick is tailor made for that game, unlike Atomic Command.

But yes, do agree, more mini-games for the settlements would be the best addition, like pool, or basketball, firing ranges, fishing, pinball, chess/checker/backgammon sets, carnival games, card games, slot machines etc.,

In my mind i see this DLC almost more as a "fixer / opps we should have included this stuff in base game" like many have mentioned before I think Beth underestimated settlements and now are trying to really flesh out the feature, I'll be excited with anything they give us because its likely to just make it 5x better than what it already is.

But i do have a wish list on what they should have included but most likely did not.

Beaten over and over again by many I would like to see more detailed landscaping options.

  • brush removal / placing (im thinking camo for building / outposts)

  • concrete sidewalks, walls, etc. (the fencing system lacks)

  • plants, food planters, green house.. any of these.

I'd also like to see settlement blueprints, as MistroPain state. Even if this was just for iconic settlements and not all it would be cool to see some unique features.

Better UI when it comes to settlers, as well as more settlement data, options via the pipboy while you're away from camp.

Lockable gates doors as many have mentioned

and an overhaul of the settlement raiding system.

I know most of these is a long shot to have included but eventually you gotta guess someone will release mods for all these things... that is if they ever hit console. :hehe:

Lots and lots of cool ideas peeps been bring up. This one caught my eye, i've been feeling like there should have been more to this place's story for sure, so it would make for a logical stop in WW, if they add any "quests" into it. If we get even a quarter of whats been suggested here so far, it will be a very worthwhile 5 bucks or less if you bought the season pass.
