Play on survival mode. check.

Make it to lvl85. check,

Play through all the bugs and crashes, check.

Wait for dlc. check.

Fight to mechanist. check.

Defeat all required waves of enemies. check.

Watch him stand there and do nothing after i defeat them all, check,

Reload and start the whole mission again. Naw.

Stop playing another buggy bethesda game. check.

A bug with the Mechanist final battle that some (including me) have come across. After approx 20min of attacks from the Mechanist, he 'should' come down from his/her lair and talk with you. For some, he never does.

I have same bug with Mechanist, but also the Diamond City one - can't go back into DC after starting NV quest. Still play the game though (lol 110).

BTW, uninstalled/reinstalled game and started new and bug still appeared.

Doesn't work. I, like others have started numerous characters only for other bugs to appear. Reloading from a previous save ( just before the Mechanist encounter) doesn't work.

It's a bug! What's annoying is why for some players and not others, but that's how bugs do their stuff I guess. It a big complex game and they will always have them (bugs).

I would uncheck survival mode if I were you since what we have now is a joke compared to what is coming.

Yea, tried all from very easy to survival to rectify bug(s).

Agree, survival (current) is not what I expected and look froward to the new survival update - as I usually play a stealth character.

If he isn't coming down, load a previous save before you enter that final room then backtrack and use the elevator to get to him directly.

there is a bot stuck in one of the hatches (if you stand infront of the glass room where mech is in, its the right one.. closest to the workshopbench)

if you are on pc you can tcl it but yes it is an annoying bug indeed.. how did you not make multiple saves tho not overwriting one another .. lol? i mean it's a BGS game

Encountered the same bug. Don't shoot the robots hanging in the conveyors, worked for me. Its mentioned in wikia.

I saved and quit the game. Raged a bit, then loaded the game. That fixed it, got a "backup power restored", and game on :-)
