Okay, well I thought firstly I'd make a weapons thread for all weapon related discussions so there aren't too many. Anyway, the first point I want to discuss is weapon "materials". Currently, and elven shortsword is more powerful than a silver shortsword and looks bvery different, but why is this? Why are styles and materials treated as the same thing? Shouldn't elves be able to make swords out of iron? what about making silver weapons in elven style? Do you think styles of swords and materials of swords should be treated as different things or the same? You could maybe say that the elven swords are made out of a specific mineral that only they used, for example, to explain why they are almost always the same.

P.S. Elven and silver and iron are only examples. Obviously I mean this about all sword "materials".

double handed weapons?

Give me cross bows and throwing knives. I like the idea of bows, but if i'm going to assassinate some one, I want the cross bow to drill a bolt into the guys head, a throwing knife to the spine, or a throat slit. Stealth kills would make stealth worth it.

Some weapon ideas that I don't think have been in any games in the series before (Forgive me if any are in Morrowind, I haven't played it much).
