well, im just wondering how long it takes for all of these things to reset/respawn/regenerate, because im trying to build up money to get some houses i want, and stuff... and i usually sell things in whiterun, i think i saw the merchants' gold go back up after awhile, but i wasnt paying attention to how long it was between visits.

is it still 24 hours, like in morrowind?

i would mention oblivion, but the merchants' gold in that game never ran out.

biggest problem, though... how long does it take for corpses to vanish and for them to respawn, and what about dungeons?

bleak falls barrow was the first dungeon i went to after the beginning of the game, and after SEVERAL days, possibly a week or so... i go back and the bandits/wolves i killed are still laying around... outside, and inside the dungeon.

how long does it take? do i have to be outside of the region/hold for the dungeons and corpses to be reset in that area of skyrim, or something?

oh, and another big need-to-know... when you use the reanimation spells, and the corpses turn to ashes afterwards, do the ashes ever vanish? or is it like fallout where the ashes were permanent, and never vanish?

god, i hope they vanish... because if they dont, that means i will never be able to use some of my favorite spells in the game... i dont want permanent ash piles filling my game that will make it impossible for enemies to respawn, or whatever.

um, can ANYONE answer these questions for me?

I think, as far as we know, dungeons dont respawn.

Dungeons don't respawn?! I'm pretty sure they did in Oblivion.

The Swindlers Den respawned for me once so far. I noticed that it never said *cleared* When I finished the quest there. I came back a couple days later and it was refilled with Bandits and chest. Bleak falls and others never respawned though.

Damn this sounds BAD..... 1 weak and im running out of monters :/

There's a mod for changing dungeon respawn time. I believe it said the default was 250 days The mod changes it to either 1/2/3 days depending on which file you download. Also, vendors inventory resets after 48 hours.

Wow, that's a long time. I guess it's better than no respawns at all.
Do they still respawn even when cleared?

im playing on adept [getting my ass kicked, lost count how many times i died] but i doubt it'll be 250 days before i start running out of things to kill.

i hope they'll release a quick update that will change the days... come on, atleast change it to maybe a month in-game?

a month of waiting, i can handle... but almost an entire YEAR?!

i would think it'd be pretty boring walking through an entire region/hold seeing nothing but corpses everywhere, and not having anything new to kill for 250+ days...

Edit: does anyone know how long it takes for bodies that are outside to vanish/respawn? is it the same as dungeons, 250 days?

what about ash piles? do they vanish?

i would think PC users would know better than anyone, since they can see the details like that in the creation kit... least, i assume.

250 days?? Surely that cant be correct? I thought it was 1 - 2 weeks?

..... That is HORRIBLE. I haven't played a single character, EVER, who has played for 250 in game days.

The 250 days is not correct.

From the guide: It is not the same for all dungeons. Some dungeons re-spawn quickly, some take more time and some never re-spawn (probably story dungeons). However it will always state "cleared" on the map, so you wont know when a dungeon has re-spawned its monsters. Anyway the radiant quests should always point you in the direction of a dungeon with monsters.

oh right now i just slept for 6 days,and cleared locations are spawned,ofc u must stay inside the whole time,will try some dungeons if theyr spawned as well.I've already tried to sleep for 3 days but nothings happen.

What about chests. Did chest loot respawn?

Ok,the very 1st dungeon i've visited since i started playing is spawned again ,also with chests..

The 250 days thing above is wrong. Normally it's a few days.

still havent had the ash pile question answered... also, what about enemies OUTSIDE?

do dragon corpses ever vanish? when do corpses/enemies outside finally vanish/respawn?

Mabey the corpses re-spawn faster when they don't have any loot on them. Same as with a cleared dungeon? I dunno...

Well you can keep playing, even after finishing the main quest line. Just hope allot of the dungeons and zones respawn. Would add allot more replay value.
