I can't launch skyrim from steam and when i try to launch it directly from the folder it says "THe program can't start because steam_api.dll is missing from your computer."

I replaced the steam_api.dll and it still doesn't work, it is in the folder, I've also reinstalled the program and nothingg happened.

I have 59 hours on the game this just happened randomly when I went to restart the game and I have no idea what I should do now.

The only people that google has turned up having this problem are pirates and they use cracks to fix it.

Steam has to launch the game now. The "loophole" has been patched.

Why cannot you load the game through Steam?
