I don't believe you've spent 30 minutes of the game just making your character. If you had actually played it, you would have known that when you hit DONE after selecting a race and making your face it prompts you for a name.

To each their own, I suppose. Troll or not, you're just not able to appreciate an open world game that lets you explore at your leisure, instead of prodding you along with flashy numbers and stuffing you in a "complex" or set off on a path blocked off by invisible walls.
