I was wondering if anyone on the forums had or was thinking about getting a Skyrim or TES inspired tattoo?

If anything, I would get the Legion's Emblem Tattooed, but think in about 30 years, I would end up regretting it, when my grandchildren ask me what it is!

Not really, I haven't got enough space left without it looking to much squeeced in. And honestly, what's so important about TES to include it in a tattoo, is it really that big a part of your life?

Yeah, I got two TES tattoos. Games in general play a big part in my life.

I'm probably the wrong guy to say this, but consider a tatto should be something "worth" remembering like really good friends, special moments or kids. Not girlfriends or wives, for those I suggest henna tats. :D
If you have a hobby that's really important for you, I'd personally chose something more general like a controller or something. I've nothing against hobby related tats, got myself two of those, but less specific would probably be better since games tend to get boring at some point.

If you love something then get it inked. I love dragons, and they are a symbol for wisdom in many cultures. So, I got a dragon tattoo on my right shoulder. This fall I am going to get a tiger on my left shoulder as a symbol of strength.

...It is easier getting them as tattoos as opposed to the branding that Kwai Chang Caine got on his forearms.

So am I right in assuming you have lots of, imo, .. pointless tattoos on you already that you'll probably regret later in life, and you're basically telling someone that it's ridiculous to have a tattoo of a game?

Basically yes. I have a lot of tats and, as someone with experience with tats, I am telling someone else to be careful what they chose as a tat. Makes more sense to me than someone without tattoos telling someone who wants one that it's pointless, I don't ask non-drivers if I should buy a car or not afterall.

My two TES tattoos are part of a sleeve that is dedicated to gaming. To look at them, unless you knew what they were, you wouldn't know there are TES tattoos. Plus I love tattoos. :D

Sleeve tat makes sense, allows to combine different elements. And if it's so important to you, I can't really say something against it, after all I do understand why people get tats. I meant you wanted something really big on the chest or something, that would be, IMHO, not such a great idea. But sleeve tat is alright I guess.

I don't do permanent tattoos, but I've been thinking about getting some high-quality body paint and sticking the Imperial Dragon emblem on my arm as part of a future RenFest costume. Just to see if anybody gets it. And I have an Imp Dragon sticker on my laptop, that's good enough for me. :D

No one wears the big battleship tattoo on their chest like they did in cartoons. :-(

As much as I like the games, I dislike any form of tattoo.

Yeah, if you really want a "tattoo" how about a non-permanent version.

I saw one Skyrim tattoo back before release.
Some woman on the forums got her whole back covered with the Akatosh Dragon emblem.
I think 11-11-11 was part of the tat too. (pun intended)

It was cool and all, but I would never cover my back with something from a game.
And should I ever get a game tattoo, it would probably be something Zelda or Mario Bros. related, as those series were more important to the whole of my childhood and gaming career than TES is, even if TES is my favorite series.

Thanks for giving me that picture, considering my guy is an Argonian and is married to Aela :chaos:

No matter how much I liked a game, I don't think I could do it. Tats need more personal ties for me. Gotta admit though, that's good work, mccleod.

I do have a tat of Odin's Raven banner. That's Nordic enough
