...can you still bring her out with you as a follower?

What are the advantages of getting married?

A free meal once per day and 500 gold from the store she opens up, Since you never see the store, She must be selling her "goods" at the local inn.

Yea she still follows you. She still gives you quests as well. Saves you walking to the companion hall when you want to do more quests for them.

I believe she becomes non essencial after marriage though. So be careful because she can die

I should've known she was lying to me. No wonder she changes the subject to hunting every time i ask.

500 gold from the store she opens up

You get much more than that if you let it build - I think the highest I got was 6000, which might be the cap.

No she becomes non-essential after competing the companions quest line.

Is she really that attractive? I mean the armor expresses her backside rather well I guess...

Ironically her ancient nord armor is heavy but she's skilled in light.

She becomes generic wife #2202 if you marry her as the game replaces her persona with it ;p. and like true marriage if your reasons for marrying her were for her independent ass kicking spirit, she won't be the woman you met at the alter ;D

I think she is essential until you do the Totems of Hircine... Is that correct? I had her in buffed up Forsworn armor for a while (xbox - so no mods), now she is in Legendary Dragonscale. I didn't marry her, just use her as a follower. Best I have had. Good sneak and archery stats.

I just married her and still have her as a follower. It was my gift to myself for becoming Harbringer of the Companions. Now she HAS to obey ME! =)

I always thought she had a man face, which is why I use this mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9425

Since we're on the subject....say I'm married to her and have completed the Companions questline...what if I Wabbajack her to raise her level up? Would that break her in any way? I'm on console.

Aela is a no go for me. Once you marry her or even have her follow I experience her been very inactive during fights. She just stand there while getting slashed. I think this is either some sort of glitch or a aggressive error. I have 7 characters and every one of them i've had aela following me with idle results.

All the companions did that with me during the quests that they are required to join. They would just stand there letting themselves get whacked and I'd just stand back and use a bow in the enemy. The only annoying part is when the companion finally takes a knee and the enemy then focuses on me. But that is pretty bad AI. I don't know if they do this if you just hire them as a regular follower.
