Never heard of him. I don't really care though, as long is he wasn't that expensive. I'd rather them spend more on a big varied cast of actors rather than some high payed "celebrity" voices that you can hardly even tell are "celebrities" half the time anyways.

I hope you're kidding...

Dude I am 34 and I listen to punk and techno and bands you probably dont know from the 80's like depeche mode, last concert I went to was moby 2 yrs ago, and the simple fact that im not gay prevents me from watching or listening to some underage kid singing about love or six or something else he probably knows little or nothing about except from some pubascent viewpoint that has no basis in the realities of a grown up world. BTW looked him up just to respond lol

I'm a bit of an Ingmar Bergman fan, so yeah: I've heard of Max Von Sydow and instantly recognized his very distinctive voice on the trailer. But I wouldn't say I'd seen his every film. The Seventh Seal (in which he famously plays chess with death) is the obvious example, but he was great in The Virgin Spring too, playing a similar medieval knightly character.

eeeh...You do realise I replied to the comment that clearly was about von Sydow and not the one that is lower in the thread and seems to be about Beiber, Bieber or whatever that kid's name is? Btw, I'm 24 and I grew up on 80's music :hehe:

I don't like him. As a Swedish myself I'm bothered by his Swedish accent and that ruins immersion for me. And his voice is not even close to being as memorable or pleasant as say Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson, Anthony Hopkins or Morgan Freeman.

Pfft <_< - Liam Neeson has a bland voice, in Fallout 3 he sounded so bored by it all - his responses had no emotion or depth. By contrast I find Max Von Sydow's voice to have experience, depth, emotion and passion. It's also quite pleasant on the ears and at least he tries to sound different, something that Patrick Stewart, Liam Neeson and Anthony Hopkins haven't tried to do in years..

Good voice actors..

James Earl Jones
Keith David
Dennis Haysbert
Michael Wincott
Clancy Brown

Don't forget Mark Hamill. Amazing voice actor. It would be awesome if Bethesda got him.

Duh  Knew there was someone I was missing..

Check out Hamill's voice work as Adrian "Rip" Ripburger (if you haven't already) on the classic LucasArt adventure 'Full Throttle'..

Hard to describe and I'm not good with the phonetic alphabet either so an example should be in place.

it's "see-dohv", if i'm not horribly mistaken. (sydowahkiin~)

i know of him, but that's really only because we share the same last name; i haven't really seen any of his movies. i did get a book as a kid that he narrated, though, and he had a good voice back then, so i'm sure he's up for the part.

welcome to german/scandinavian/slavic. there's a reason the evil german mad scientists in movies always say "vee" instead of "we".
