Creation kit crashing, Assertion error?

Whenever I try to open a file to work on I get this:

----------

Assert

File: C:\_Skyrim\Code\TESV\TES Shared\misc\BGSLocalizedString.cpp

Line: 2871
LOCALIZATION: Error opening or reading strings file.

Abort Retry Ignore

----------

All three options end with the Creation kit closing crashing. Started Steam in online mode, it updated both Skyrim & the Creation kit, so I assume they are up-to-date.

Help?

If you're loading a DLC as well as Skyrim.esm you need to add the DLC's bsa to the ini. Open SkyrimEditor.ini and go to this part:

[Archive]

Add YourDLCOfChoice.BSA to the bottom section, making it something like:

SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa, Hearthfire.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa

Then save and the CK can load the DLC just fine. Add whatever DLC you have installed.

I'm looking at it right now. I see Shader.bsa, Updates.bsa

The only other dlc I have is Dawnguard. Is that what's missing?

Yup, so add ', Hearthfire.bsa' to the end of that List2= line.

You mean "Dawnguard.bsa"? I don't have Hearthfire.
