Hi; I used to be able to use the directional pad to easy-switch from my bow to my warhammer and from those to my spells. It stopped working right after I gave up my follower, Stenvar and left him in the dragonsreach. Any tips on how to get it back the way it was? Actually, the problem seemed to happen when I re-hired Stenvar.

while I'm at it, I thought I'd ask...when I play the game with my keyboard, I am able to number the faves 1-6 or something like that. With my XBOX controller, I don't seem to be able to do that. Do u know of a way to do this? If so, can u tell me how I toggle throught the numbers and which buttons I press?

Sometimes you have to re-hotkey your favourites after your gear is removed from your inventory such as when your character goes to prison.

I haven't played Skyrim on Xbox, but from what I recall reading in other posts, can you not use the direction pad to hotkey your gear? Mark something as a Favourite in your inventory and then go to your favourites menu highlight the item you want to hotkey and then press a direction on the direction pad?
