go-to mod manager for the Special Edition?

After taking a break for almost a year, I've decided to finally start messing around with the Special Edition of Skyrim.


What mod manager is everyone using for this game?



It seems like Mod Organizer wasn't updated for SSE, but there is still a way to use an older version with some tweaks.


The creater of the Mod Organizer started to work on a new Nexus Mod Manager, but it isn't released yet?!


The old Nexus Mod Manager is a good choice, but not recommendable, if you have many .esp's that interfere with each other.



Anything else? What are people using these days?


And what about interface/inventory mods?


I guess SKSE is not released yet? Is there a mod that changes the outdated inventory system?

I think a lot of people who previously were using MO or NMM now use Wrye Bash due to the reasons you mention.



From what I know and heard other people say that Wrye Bash is essential for SSE similar to what Wrye Bash is for Oblivion.



Also, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1615914-wrye-bash-thread-114/ for SSE now handle the https://bethesda.net/community/topic/625/user-generated-esm-files-load-in-the-wrong-order properly.

I don't use mod managers. But if I did, it would be Wrye Bash.

I'd recommend Wrye Bash. It is, after all, the best one anyway.

There is MO2 beta thats 64bit and compatible, if a bit unreliable. NMM(2) is still being worked on its in a very alpha state according to the news report on Nexus.

I have not used that many mods on the PC and the ones I did I only used the ones that are from bethesda.net and the built in manager. At the moment on the PC I am not using any mods. On the Xbox One I am using a few mods since the Xbox One has to catch up to the PC in regards to using mods. Later on I might use the next version of Nexus or Wyre Bash or even just do it manually.

Does NMM use the Virtual Data folder like MO does?



So far, MO has worked great for me, except for actually making Mods (can't get them to save without crashing the CK :/ ) And the Mods/Overwrite folder functionality was my favourite thing about MO :/

It does CDM_ - but for me (in SLE) it's a better manager as it's less complex (for the way I work and play the game). For SSE, I'm using around 70 mods, but the only ones which change on a per-character basis are houses and armor/clothing, so it's not like I'm enabling/disabling all of them with each new girl.



I'm going to be moving to Wrye Bash the next time NMM does something stupid though.
