This is Nirn in the fourth (?) age we're talking about, not prehistoric Earth <_< I don't want Bethesda getting too carried away with real world creatures. Taking inspiration from them is fine though :)

Hum. Thanks for the correction. I suppose I have to be more careful and to think a little before posting. :banghead: At least for the sake of accuracy...

Yep, nasty carniverous variant of the Koala Bear native to Australia, gets the name from its preferred method of attack. I had one land on me one time in Melbourne and ended up in hospital.

no, realy they look like normal koalas. they climb high trees and wait for you to go underneath them, from there they DROP down with one arm reaching forward. the claws dig into your shoulder and then the koala uses its rear arm to swing around and claw you in the face or throat with a massive swing. from on your shoulder they scratch your face, pinch out eyes and slash at your throat.

I'm telling the honest truth, Jack254 knows all about them. I still have a scar on my forehead from the Drop Bear attack.

Drop bears are horrible, horrible animals. They're alright most of the year, but once spring comes around, they become really protective of their babies. You'll often see little kids with hats with eye patterns on the back, because they won't jump you if they think you're staring at them. Scares them right off.

Cyclists do similar things with their helmets- they get all these plastic parts sticking out of 'em. Makes you look like a big echidna or something, will all those spikes.
