Who should be the leading actor of TESV: Dragonborn?

Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Who could be the Blade guide Esbern?

Clint Eastwood.

This would never happen, and honestly Hollywood would probably end up butchering TES in the process. Unlike games such as Mass Effect, Uncharted, Bioshock, or any of the other games coming out with movies, TES is too wide and expansive and doesn't really have a main protagonist. Making a movie ,specifically for this installment, in TES wouldn't make any sense to anyone except the fans who have been playing TES for some time.

As far as actors to, Liam Neeson as Esbern for sure. I think Sam Worthington could probably be a decent Dovahkiin, but a number of actors could probably pull it off.

I noticed "John Cena" is on the list. I assume this is a joke topic, then?

Michael Cera as the Dovakiin. It'll become the best movie ever that way. He'll defeat Alduin by being super awkward, while playing an indie song.

Dovahkiin = Russel Crowe

Esbern = Morgan Freeman

Is that not awesome? And completely unrealistic? :P (I figure the entire premise is unrealistic sooo :P)

Would not want to see a move but if there was one....

Esbern- Max Von Sydow( no brainer has the voice plus is a great actor) Is the age to play an old blade and recently was very good in Robin Hood even though it was only an average movie, I thought his acting was the best.

Dovahkiin- Jim Caviezel( Bulked up a bit though but VERY underrated and underused actor in this era of flavor of the month no talents) Did the viking theme well in Outlander ( surprisingly good movie)

I think this rates as the worst poll I've seen here in ages

Firstly where are the female options ?!!!!

Second TES is all about choice - it's a role playing game, want to play as an Orc - go for it, a Khajiit or Argonian - no problem - it's not about putting limits on the experience

Thirdly - every gameplay is different - this is not an on rails action adventure - it's a living sandbox - I'd hate to see a movie of someone else's idea of how Skyrim should be.

Grrrr

Well.. if they did make a movie. Max von Sydow would be the obvious choice of mentor just because of the voice. It's too recognizable to go and stick a completely different voice in the roll. He is getting rather old to play the part most likely though. I can't think of any middle aged actor types right now with such a great voice. Have you noticed all the good actors with the great voices are getting really old? What are we going to do in the future?

Anyway.. I'd say the Hero character should be an unknown.. I at least don't like any of the options that you listed... at the same time I haven't seen any up and coming actors that could become action hero types. Maybe the guy that's going to be playing Thor in the upcoming movie. No clue really.

I obviously voted other on both counts... yet have no suggestions as to who those others should be.

Well a looong long time ago I was playing Morrowind and I think around the same time "A Knight's Tale" came out with Heath Ledger, I always wanted to see him or some of those characters in a serious ES movie, but that won't happen so clearly the choice is no movie.

With that said however, IF a movie ever became a possibility, they could never, ever do it on an existing ES game's plot.
It would have to be based on Lore that was not directly covered in a game but rather still something that was history, such as Barenziah's story etc. just so that in the end if the movie failed then we'd atleast keep the lore intact, obviously any movie on ES could only be with very heavy involvement by Bethesda's people and a large budget, otherwise I wouldn't accept the idea of a movie.

So really, no movie.

You might think of the Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen. He would fit perfectly, especially if think of how good he was as "One-Eye" in Valkyria Rising.

Yes my vote goes for Mads Mikkelsen. Even though he is Danish...

1. Movie is a terrible idea
2. The guys in the poll are Hollywood stars, not actors in any worthwhile sense.
3. See 1. with the added point that I don't even feel the need to explain or clarify, you should just know it's a bad idea.

4. Movies based on video-games don't have a record of being good.

Maybe it will be best if they don't make that movie, at least in my opinion.

If you read The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum and then watch the films starring Matt Damon, you won't see any relation between the books and the films. All three kill characters that survive in the books while introducing characters that aren't in them, and the second and third films don't even take place in the right countries.

Probably old news, but http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094791/ isn't over yet. Read the last line that goes "there are strange similarities between his memories and reported actions of a high class terrorist, Carlos." But so far we haven't seen any Carlos is the new movies. The new movies (although I like them) are stretched beyond belief wrt duration of action scenes, compared to the Richard Chamberlain one :P God I feel old right about now :D http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1194173/ - in pre production now.

This would more than likely be terrible... unless Vin Diesel and Max von Sydow starred in it. Make it happen, Bethesda!

Max von Sydow is awesome (Judge Dredd's one of my favorite movies of his) but Vin Diesel would absolutely blow. "Duhh, I need ta' kill da dragunn! Daaah, I am deh Triple-Ex i mean Dovahkiin!"

Bill Cosby for the dragonborn, Rhys Darby for Esbern.

1. If there's an Elder Scrolls movie, it would never feature the protagonist from any of the games UNLESS they release thousands of versions, each a different combination of classes, races, genders, and decisions featured in the main role.

2. 90% of those actors are meatheads and shocking actors, and the others are average and massive Hollywood stars. I don't wanna see some celebrity as a character in TES. I wanna see a face I've never seen before.

3. No.
