CTDs with the Unofficial Patches

So I decided to reinstall Oblivion recently (steam version with all the dlcs and official mods), and thought I'd start by installing a few essential mods. First I played for a few minutes with all the dlcs enabled, no mods. Then I downloaded all 3 unofficial patches off of the nexus and installed them in this order: base Oblivion patch, SI patch, dlcs patch. The SI and dlc patches came up with a prompt to overwrite files, so I let them. Then I opened up wyre bash and enabled them in this load order:

oblivion esm

SI

knights

dlcs

UOP oblivion patch

UOP citadel door fix

SI UOP

dlc UOP

I get a ctd everytime I launch the game. If I disable the UOPs the game launches fine.

So I uninstalled on Steam, deleted oblivion's directory, and it's my games folder. I reinstalled using my steam backup archive, validated all the files, ran oblivion with all dlcs enabled, everything fine, reinstalled the patches, and the same thing happened. Can someone please give me some advice in what could be going wrong?

I can only guess, but the DLC on Steam is different from the DLC in the retail version.

UOP Oblivion should load before SI. But why don't you simply use http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45765/ to sort your load order, especially for a teeny tiny mod setup like this? It also puzzles me that you are using WB to set load order, but you're not using BAIN, instead installing mods manually (which is fraught with danger).

Like tegeus said, that load order is plain and simple wrong. The unofficial patches (excluding DLC patches) need to load first, before almost everything else. If you are unsure (heck, even if you are sure) about load order use BOSS (!!). Once sorted, fire up Oblivion. That may fix your crashes.
