How in the hell do you move things once you dropped them on the ground? I swear, when I played MW last time, you just clicked and held Z to pick up an item and re-arrange it or something.

Am I wrong on this?? I know Oblivion has that feature, and I could have swore Morrowind did too...

You pick them up and put them back down.
Not difficult, broheim.

I don't think that's how I did it, but maybe...

I vividly remember having a collection of daggers/swords or whatever weapon from each NPC I killed, and arranging them painstakingly in glass display cases. Maybe that was how I did it... I don't remember exactly

That feature is only for Oblivion. Also I can't remember seeing any glass display case (I may be just forgetting though)... Maybe you're thinking of Oblivion...

If you open your inventory while in 1st person then click on the item either in inventory or on the ground or wherever it is , then you can move it around and place it sort of how you want it. It is somewhat limited in how you can move items. I believe there is a mod that allows you to more finely tune an items position. But I don't remember its name.

Display cases are a popular mod for the game. And with the script extender mods like Book Rotate is possible, so I would assume all items could be done that way.

Of course, those are mods. In Vanilla... no.
