My question is how much do I have to OC my CPU to have a better FPS rate with all these improvements?
Or do I have to chage my system???

My System:
CPU:Intel E6750 3,4Ghz OC
GPU:NVidia8800GT
2gb ram

MODS+MGE:
mge-svn118 distantland
ImprovedWaterShader_w_Waves_v06a
knx DOF v12
SSAO v09
sunshaft v002a

texture replacer:
connary
AOF
visual pack

+ tree mods

Performance:
FPS 8-25 exterior
20-25 interior

Not. Your system is actually good enough to play Morrowind with mods.
As for the FPS: it would then be better to expand your RAM. Make it 4GB. You can buy kits of 2GB and if i'm not mistaken even 4. Corsair and Kingston are good brands, dane-elec too.
But first look which kind of RAM your motherboard support. More RAM means the game loads faster.

You don't mention your sound card. A bad on board sound 'chip' can take 5-10 fps off Morrowind's performance.
Everything else you have is far, far more than adequate.

I agree with the RAM suggestion; adding another 2GB would see a big improvement, and it would make using your computer easier and more fun, too.

How much memory does your 8800GT have? 256MB? 512MB?

I would think you should be getting better framerates, at least in interiors, with that rig. <_<

Are you using a VWait setting other than immediate? Setting that to 1, 2, 3, or 4 will cap the max framerate to a division of the screen refresh rate, e.g. @60Hz, fps would be capped at 60, 30, 20, and 15 respectively.

Are you using Morrowind's high detail shadows? Or more than 1 or 2 shadows per scene? In-game from the Menu, go to 'Options' >> 'Video' tab and click on the arrow on the left-hand side of the 'Real-time Shadows' slider so the indicator is closer to the 'Off' setting - there are 13 positions corresponding to 0 thru 12 shadows (Off thru Full).

Try lowering MW's view distance >> in-game 'Options' >> 'Video' tab >> 'View Distance' slider; try setting that in the middle first and play the game a bit, then make adjustments towards 'Near' or 'Far' depending on performance results.

FPS Optimizer (v1.96) can help with maintaining a certain framerate by dynamically adjusting MW's view distance on-the-fly. It won't get you more framerates than what your possible maximum is with the mods and enhancements you have loaded, but it can maximize usage of your best fps. B)

Duh...

I'm running Morrowind with MGE (no distant land though) + FPS Optimizer and a bunch of hi-res texture replacers on this old wreck:

Pentium IV 1,8 CPU
GF 6600 GT GPU
1024 DDR RAM

... and I average ~30 FPS both in interior and exterior cells.

I'm not sure if the 8800 vid card has physx acceleration, but if it does turn it off.
In your nvidia settings turn off physx gpu acceleration. I got about 2 or 3 more fps, not alot, but every little bit helps.

Also take a look at Yacoby's ini tutorial, there are a few things in there that can help a bit.

What screen resolution are you trying to play with? High screen resolution will hurt your frame rate. For example, 1920x1200 forces your GPU to render three times as many pixels as 1024x768 does.

Also, texture packs want a lot of main memory and GPU memory. I'd want 3GB main RAM and 512MB GPU RAM for a heavily modded game.

Nobody should get that low FPS in interiors. I suspect bloatware and/or viruses.

CCleaner
Spybot Search&Destroy
Sysinternals Autoruns

can help you view programs that run at startup. Autoruns is the most detailed. Spybot is commented. Ccleaner is most safe. Also a fully update AV scan can help. For last resort, sacrifice one shader.
