I re-installed MW+expansions and the latest MGE. I got no other mod and I tested this shader and I still have problems with lines artifacts whenever I look towards the sun. here's a pic:

I just don't know what could be the problem.

First off, what type of graphics card are you using, secondly, are your graphics drivers up to date? The problem appears to be an older nvidia driver on a newer card, though I could be wrong, but I had similar issues a while back in a different game untill upgrading my drivers for my then 7950 gt(have a gt 275 now).

I have a 8800m GTS Nvdia graphic card and if I'm not mistaken my driver is version 186.03 for 64-bit.

Have you tried the new 196 drivers that are out? That would be the first thing that I would try.

Actually, I just went to the Nvidia site and I saw that driver(actually, is v195.62) . Is this new driver replacing v186.03 or there were others in between? I'm asking cause in the change log of this new version I don't see anything that addresses display problem fixes. Maybe I'm ignorant to understand what is new in this realese.

Here's what they said:
----------------------------
New in this release:

Adds GPU-acceleration for smoother online HD videos with the new Adobe Flash 10.1 beta. Learn more here.
Adds support for DirectCompute with Windows 7.
Adds support for OpenGL 3.2.
Adds support for OpenCL 1.0 (Open Computing Language).
Adds support for CUDA Toolkit 3.0 features and performance enhancements. See CUDA Zone for more details.
Adds SLI and multi-GPU support for many top new gaming titles including Borderlands, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA Soccer 10, and more.
Includes numerous bug fixes including improved performance for Need for Speed: Shift. Refer to the release notes on the documentation tab for information about the key bug fixes in this release.
Installs NVIDIA PhysX System Software v9.09.0814.

There have been LOTS of changes since 186.03 was released. Definitely get the latest drivers.

I agree, definitely install latest drivers. And if the problem persists, try using a driver cleaner and then install the latest one :)

ok, i'll try the new driver. Hopefully it'll fix my problem cause after I saw the videos in YouTube I don't think I want to go back without sunshafts. They look amazing just like SSAO.

I finally updated the Nvidia drives from v186.03 to v195.62 and........IT WORKS!!! lol. The sunshaft is working now. Reminds me of Crysis. I wonder what else this new driver fixes/add that morrowind is taking advantage of. Thanks for your help :foodndrink:
