I have the game and some mods, 3-4 or so but haven?t installed yet. Simple question, will I like in Oblivion have to start the game from somewhere else and not from the original start-up screen?

Thanks guys

I think the answer is that depends on what you have installed:

1) if you fps optimizer installer, you will have to start fps optimizer up and then launch Morrowind from it's launch screen.

Also, if you have MGE/MWSE installed and it is working properly, you should see 'Morrowind Graphics Extender" in the upper left corner of the opening movie.

Maybe http://www.mwmythicmods.com/Gluby/Gluby_Main.htm is something for you.
Also on http://yacoby.silgrad.com/MW/Tuts/index.htm you will find some tutorials.

No, most mods do not require you to start another executable in order to launch Morrowind.

That said, one of the best tools used by some mods to extend Morrowind's functionality is MWSE, Morrowind Script Extender. If you install this and mods that use it, you will need to launch MWSE. It will in turn launch Morrowind.

I suggest you check out http://www.mwmythicmods.com/MWE.htm of MWSE mods to see if there are things you might like to run in the game. If not, then you won't have to bother with launching MWSE.

As to Morrowind Graphics Extender, MGE, it's a fine tool, but difficult to get running correctly, improves visuals if you do, and requires a lot of tinkering. As you're just starting to play Morrowind, I wouldn't suggest you bother with it. The same applies to FPS Optimizer, though it doesn't require much tinkering at all. If you find yourself complaining a lot about the Morrowind "fog effect," then check out FPS Optimizer 1.96, which you can find http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3875. Otherwise, ignore it for now.

Thanks to all for helping me out. I?m totally new with mods as I?ve not used more than Spell Delete in Oblivion and now I?ve probably downloaded about 20 to Morrowind. I must be
