Just wondering what peoples average FPS is, and if you play with MGE? Do you strive for 60FPS or happy to go lower for better MGE settings?

I don't play with MGE and I don't strive for 60FPS. I'm not one of these people who play a video game with one eye on a framerate counter. I couldn't care less about it, to be honest. I may adjust my mod lists from time to time when my game feels sluggish, but I don't look at my framerates.

Haven't checked in a while, but anything above 30 fps is fine with me. I'm using MGE and I'll gladly sacrifice some frames for more populated towns and a nice view distance.

I think I always get 60 fps in the wilderness anyway and a little less in towns.

I use MGE XE with a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor. I can get about 40 - 45 with a lot of mods installed.

20 in cities, 40-50 in wilderness, 60 (capped) in interiors.

Luckily, Morrowind is not a game where 60 fps actually make a lot of sense.

I use MGE-XE with 13 cells distant land, SSAO HQ + HDR, and plenty of graphic replacers and CPU-heavy mods.

How do you mean? Cant play anything lower than 55 FPS tbh..

I think what he means, is that all of the animations in Morrowind run at 15 fps, therefore, anything over 15 fps isn't really very beneficial to how smooth the game feels. That being said, I find it disorienting myself when it drops much below 20 fps.

I use MGE XE and really only notice the system behaving slowly when the fps drops below 20-25 fps.

I really like the look and feel of Skyrim (being able to see way off into the distance) so I use the following MGE XE settings:

Draw Distance 100 cells

Use Distant Statics Checked

Near Min: 50 , End Dist 2

Far Min: 100, End Dist 5

Very Far Min 400, End Dist 20.

Fog Starts at 99 Ends at 100.

With these settings, I usually stay above 25 fps even in TR's Old Ebonheart.

It's funny, I've hardly ever been able to play Morrowind above 40fps. When first played the game in 2003, 30-40fps was the best my PC could do, and then I added what texture packs were available then I remember when I went to propylon chambers, I had to look at the floor. Then I got a new computer, and with all the graphics upgrades available then, I played at 30-40fps outside. Every new computer, same thing, I'd add more graphic mods and get 30-40fps outside. I have a 3 year old gaming laptop now, and I still get 30-40fps, but I'm used to it. I use MGEXE with a draw distance of 10 cells (I do like some atmospheric fog) and a few shaders.
