I keep getting this error while trying to install the game. I got the copy I'm using when the game was realeased, and I've installed it several times before without incident. But, now it keeps giving me this error.

The full error that pops up reads like this:

Feature Transfer Error
Feature: Default Feature
Component: Fallout 3
Files: E:\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

I run Vista, and as I've said, I've not had this error any other time I've installed the game. If anyone can help with this, or at least answer whether this is something that can be fixed or not and keep me from spending money on another copy, I'd appreciate it.

Anyone with suggestions...

The CRC error means that the data cannot be read on the disk. Is the disk dirty or damaged? Can the DVD drive read other disks? Or if you have another PC to try to install to, that may help determine if its the disk or your disk drive.
