Yeah, this would be a good idea. rofl I had an idea. You know the Screen Actors Guild? One word. FalloutRoleplayingGuild. Yes, I condensed it to one word because I did not want to have to change One to Three, that is how serious I am.

Sounds good, one word, FalloutRoleplayingGuild... Wow, good work, I like it.

All the regular RP'ers posted... Yes, wow, thank god. If I can get some ideas together, I'll be happy to make an RP, or give my ideas to someone else. Of course, DeadlySin, if you read this, I'd be happy to give you my ideas. I've already run an RP before... Annoying at the start, either ways, we need a good RP for regulars, the peoples have spokens!

That depends on what you mean by "regulars." If you mean the people who are on the most, that's probably a bad idea. Due to different time zones, you'd have the rp move five pages while one group is on, then another five when the other time zone takes over. Which always ends with people getting confused and frustrated and quitting.

Now if you mean regulars by a group of core, good rpers, then that's something else entirely. Most of the greatest rps on this site were formed and lasted only because of a group of dedicated players. Like End of an Era, which has been here for two or three years, the Immortal Blood Timeline, which has been here for longer and has some of the greatest writers now on this site because of it, or TES Bioshock, which lasted for... Quite a few months I believe. All excellent rps not only because of the story and creator, but because the rpers made them last. That's what some rps lack like the one I tried to make, The City of Shadows. It had a great plot, and I did my best to hold it together, but I didn't have any players willing to stick it out. They played until things got slow, then just up and quit.

Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that the former definition is bad, and the latter is good.

I agree with Ambrose. Time Zones are always getting in the way of some good Rp'ers.

Time zones would be a difficult obstacle to overcome, but it is a great idea to create a somewhat exclusive RP that would hopefully live. I can't tell you how many times I've watched a great Rp die because a couple of members decided to quit. So my opinion, DO IT!

There was one just like this on an old LOTR boards I frequented (It was about LOTRO before it came out.) It was H.A.R.P.
H.A.R.P. = Hallowed Alliance of Roleplayers. I was in it and there were some GREAT roleplayers in it. As far as I know it died. I think they'd be honored if we remade them. Also, I'd love to join. (Fan Fic in sig)

Edit: Oh, and I had to quit Cold Steel because EVERYBODY there lived in Australia. It got annoying because when they're on it is past 1 a.m. my time. lol

Not at all. It's simply that the majority of the rpers here right now aren't North American. Used to be everyone here was Eastern Time Zone. Things change as people come and go. Overall though, there are many more people in the North American Time Zones here than others. Just take a cursory glance at Community Discussion for example.

It does kind of svck when time zones prevent a story from being coherent.

If we were to make one we should have several people controlling large parts of a faction.

I:E a overlord in charge of a 100 muties, a B.O.S star paladin, A outcast protector, a enclave colonel, raider gang leader, talon comp el-tee, etc.

What you're talking about is a large-scale political/war rp. Those almost always fail because they're hard to manage efficiently. The only one I can remember being like that that succeeded is the Immortal Blood Timeline, which is because of the individual skills of the people there and Immortal Blood himself being the great manager that he is. Frankly, I don't see that being possible here.

Well what do you define as a regular? Whilst I'm never on the Fallout boards, I post quite often on the TES boards.

Yea, the time thing svcks. I go for 2 days and people have posted so much. Like Sigma squad. I left Saturday for my dads and come home sunday, and they already say I'm out. I can't post in Rp's like that so i think im going to stop RP'ing and just finish of the two that I'm still doing.

I think we should literally make an RP for just Australians... And an RP for just other people as well... It'd make sense right?

It's kinda funny. I've never seen this many Aussie's in one place so the time zone issue never came up before. It svcks 'cause I'm kinda busy during the daytime, exercising in preparation for Army Basic Training, etc. and during the night I try to stay up and RP but it just doesn't work. Shame cause RP is what I use to hone my grammar/writing skills.
