The real value of lore

Perhaps to run interference on the surface and keep the surface dwellers distracted, to keep the Institute safe. Or maybe whomever was in charge didn't really think about it. Out of sight, out of mind.

It doesn't have to make sense. We're a species in love with nonsense, after all. :)

I suppose, I just wish the Institute was a bit more morally-grey than that.

Although I suppose if they are genuinely ignorant. Does that make them evil? Maybe, maybe not. Still I was really hoping it was a Gammorin's army situation for the Capital Wasteland mutants.

True, but you'd think with how many Synth Watchers and the SRB's monitoring, they would have indentified the growing super-mutant threat as a potential problem for their scav teams and surface research ops. And then had a talk with the boys down in bio-science.

IMO it boils down to there is no reason. BGS just wanted Super Mutants again for something to kill. Which, again, would be a lot better if they just created their own "monsters".

I really like minelurks (it is that the name? That crab things) and I absolute LOVE enclave's eyebots. Swampfolks are awesome too.....well at least the concept, in game they are stupid bullet sponges.

Anyway, BGS have talent to create your ows creatures. Agree with you on that, SM is something expendable in F4.

What's done is done.

I hate mirelurks so very much. All varieties. Don't mind spiders or snakes, crabs, lobsters, and cockroaches make me sick though.

Mirelurk Hunters, kill them with fire

I nearly wet myself when I first encountered a Mirelurk Queen. Those who have been in the basemant of a certain building know what I'm talking about :cryvaultboy:

I encountered my first one in the middle of a rather large rather old building. I died pretty quickly, ventured way too far South way too early. Had a hell of a time getting back.

Well he is a PR guy. He doesn't write the script for the game, or decide anything about the project. Be grateful or not, for that atleast.
