How long should i let a frozen pizza in the microwave?
It's a Phillips microwave oven.

I've only used a micro wave oven only a few times in my life, don't want to burn teh pizza.

25 minutes.

Or you could do it until the cheese melts.

Or you could do it in an oven.

What no AAAH do you want to burn it!?

Put it in for 1 minute after taking it out of the freezer. Lift it off the plate, rotate it, and put it back in for 30 seconds. Repeat this process for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

25 minutes

Read the instructions for microwave cooking on the side of the box.
25 minutes in a microwave might make that pizza charcoal.

Shouldn't it be specified on the (pizza) box?

Come on guys, you shouldn't have told him not to do it at 25 minutes. I mean, it's not rocket science. Live and learn.

2 minutes is considered the ideal time for most pizzas when heated in a microwave oven.

Ye GADS! 25min in the microwave! It would be carbonized at that point :D .

As I don't know the diameter of your pizza, I'll assume it is of "medium" size

Then I would microwave it 3-4 minutes or until the cheese melts, rotating it
a quarter turn every two minutes. If the cheese starts to brown, then stop,
as you have almost gone too far ;) .

Sigh.

Not worth the effort. Never had a pizza come out well from a microwave. I'd buy a dedicated pizza oven before I'd go microwave.

my conscience won out over the hilariousness of your advice.
We also don't know what sort of pizza it is.
Thin or thick crust, personal size, 12", 16", or 18" diameter, whether it comes with the special foil/paper tray for crisp crust.
Or whether he's using a convection microwave or not. Therefore, side of the box instructions apply here.

I saw a gremlin explode after a few seconds in a microwave once.
This was in a movie though, can't be sure if it would take longer in real life

Like I said OP, you want to do it for a few minutes but you need to pick the pizza off the plate and rotate it every 30 seconds if you want it to turn out the best. Letting it stick to the plate doesn't make for good eats.

I'm not entirely sure the pizza wouldn't burst into flames after 25 minutes...

1 minute. After that, 15 second intervals if it's not done.

That advice is for leftover pizza.

For frozen, if you don't have an oven but you do have a toaster oven, make it fit and do it for like 5 minutes repeatedly until done.

If it's an entire packaged frozen pizza, I would say heat it up in the oven. Microwaving bread related foods often does not turn out well.

Heating up a slice of leftover pizza is fine - I usually just do 30 seconds at a time, to see how it comes out.

If it is a personal digorno pizza. 3 minutes.

If it is a full damn pizza... It's going to be crappy when it gets out and prob frozen in the middle.

How am i supposed to know how to use one?

Let's see you use trial and error when this is a meal your mom baught spending her last dime on it.

I took it out at 7 minutes,it tasted crappy, from now one i will use my regular oven like before.

Chances are it didn't taste crappy from overcooking, only from doing it in the microwave. 7 minutes on a completely frozen pizza isn't too far overkill. Like others have said, there will always be instructions on the box for how to cook it.

Well, what can you do?

You really wouldn't want to microwave it- chances are even if it comes out at the right temperature, it'll be soggy as anything. When I'm heating shop-bought frozen pizzas in the oven I find about 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees centigrade (~ 390 F) is about right to defrost it and cook it through, assuming the oven isn't fan assisted and has been pre-heated. This is also assuming the pizza is around 9" in diameter.

If it doesn't come with one of those gray microwave pans, I'd use the oven. The pizza comes out incredibly soggy otherwise. As for how long, just put it on three minutes and stand there with it until it gets to how you like it, then note how long it took.

Are you actually serious? Why would you come on a forum to ask this question? Instead of reading the box or estimating 1-2 minutes like anyone else would you come on a gaming forum?!?!

Most pizzas don't have instructions for microwaves. Maybe an indicator that they aren't meant to be cooked like that. For me, Palermo's thin crust at 450 degrees for 11 minutes works like a charm. Just need to add a little extra cheese and sausage on top before you put it in the oven.

Actually, that's exactly what it means. If it doesn't provide instructions for cooking it a certain way, they're implying that you shouldn't cook it that way, like trying to stuff a pizza into a deep fryer. Never seen instructions for that :P.

Sometimes they'll clarify by saying something like "Cooking by so-and-so method is not recommended."
