I would suggest Lonely are the Brave, Path's of Glory, Spartacus and Ace in the Hole as starting points if you have

never seen any of his films.

Well, this is refreshing. Finally, a thread about a celebrity who is still alive.

Happy birthday, Mister D!

I'm not quite sure how it started, but somehow in our early/mid-20s, my sister and I started the Christmas tradition of watching http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080097/ every year :P

Just think, if he was English he would've received a letter from the Queen.

Makes me wonder, if the Queen reaches 100, does she send herself a letter?

I must know the answer to this!

Tough Guys (1986) -not just a really funny movie, but alas the last time Douglas and Lancaster worked together.

You never know.

It's not every day that you get a legitimate reason to send yourself a letter and congratulate yourself.

I wonder what you'd write in the letter. Maybe it'll be a surprise!

Maybe it will have the words "Surprise" Since Her Majesty will be since she did not send it but Charles did.

Couple of year's ago my sister sent to her life long friend, on her birthday a card which contained a rubber-band powered butterfly.

When the card was opened the butterfly was released both giving the friend a big surprise and httingi her between the eyes.

I could imagine Prince Charles sending such a card to his Mother.

I think we all know that if Charles sent his mother anything, it'd be a hitman and a bullet. ;D

My thoughts, too! Thanks, binky, for sharing this happy news :)

Happy Birthay, you young buck :)

For films, I'd also suggest a few of his later ones, too. "Tough Guys" (1982) was fun to watch, and "It Runs In The Family" (2003).

A little known film that I love is the 1979 Final Countdown.
