Persian is an awesome language, because it's closer to European languages than almost anything else out in the ass end of nowhere, sounding much more familiar, despite it being the voice of a civilization from the days of ancient Egypt, Babylon, and Akkad. But those languages have died out and their cultures transformed or destroyed, but Persia kind of survived to the modern day, almost intact.

Well, I studied a bit of French, German and Spanish and Spanish is the easiest by far.

I can generally hold conversations in these languages to the extent where I speak in English and they can speak whichever, and I'll understand them.

As for languages I'd like to learn, Ancient Greek and Latin, Arabic and Japanese. I would've said Russian too, but I bet it uses the same grammatical structure as German, so nope. No way that's happening.

I used to think Mandarin too, but I lost interest in the idea. It's very useful in business, but for stuff I want to learn for cultural reasons, it doesn't really interest me tbh.

As for a dialect, I've always wanted to learn Jamaican Patois. It'd just be awesome to be fluent in it, and immensely useful for comedy. Love it, love hearing be spoken especially when it's with a strong accent. I love hearing any good strong accents, like Glaswegian or the many Irish accents. That strange mixture between bafflement and fascination with someone speaking "kind of" English is just captivating to witness.

Language is the key to unlocking the heart of every culture and that's why I'm glad the Esperanto project died. Much like currency, national flags/insignia and authentic cultural events, language is part of what makes up a people's collective identity, and to be robbed of one's culture and your sense of belonging, is a crime I cannot abide. Further to Turns-The-Page's interest in Persian, it's one of the most soul-destroying things to see fanatics like Al-Qaeda destroying cultural monuments and burning historical texts. Trying to erase history smacks of such hubris.

I'll go political if I carry on, but man, culture is the most important part of human society and development. Without it, people lose direction and morality. When they have nothing left to care about, that's when people become animals.

Spanish is my first language, it's painful, well it's really painful to write, the insane amount of accents is downright horrifying!

Besame means "Kiss me". Besame is conjugation from the verb, Besar, which means "to kiss".

I have no accents, upside down exclamation points, etc. that I can add, so imagine them in their right places accordingly. I wish I was practicing Spanish more often, but I haven't done it consistently since I finished my bachelors degree.
