I just got my first ding on the side of my car. Small ding size of a dime. But i feel like crap right now. Didn't get to see who it was. There is over 100 exployees where i work. Have you ever had this happen to you? Also how much would it cost to repair it?

100 employees?! Where you work?

Also you'll want to the the car to a mechanic or body shop they'll give you an estimate.

I opened this thread to find out what a "ding dang" was. ;)

Lol, me too. It was the "dang" that threw me off.

And yes OP, a ding is a dent in my book too. :) As mentioned, it was the dang that drew me to open this topic.

As a poor man, I try and keep all my things looking as new as long as possible as I don't know when I may have money to replace or repair them. I bought a pair of DM's (Dr Martin's) not long ago after working a part time job and was trying not to scuff them, but was painfully aware when I did. Oh well, it's not punk rock to have shiny new looking DM's....Lol.

Same.

Er anyway, yeah, I've had assorted motoring embuggerences, some my fault, others not, which have resulted in varying amounts of destruction to my car. They hurt my pride more than they hurt me, which is probably a good thing.

The worst was when I took a bend far too fast (okay, a normal day's driving for me) and span the car, which shot backwards up an embankment and came to a stop in a ploughed field. It was still drivable so I continued my journey to work, my arrival being greeted by a co-worker pissing himself laughing because my car was "wearing a grass skirt", as he put it. I hadn't realised it was still adorned with quite a lot of souvenirs from said field. It took over a week for the garage to straighten it out.

Is that a lot? Mine has 1000...

A ding that small I wouldn't even worry about. All my cars had minor damage when I bought them. And given the number of awful accidents I've had, I probably couldn't complain too much about the minor bumps.

If its small enough and not in a corner or more solid part of the vehicle a simple plunger may pop it back out.

Better than walking in to the parking lot after work to find the bumper of your car half hanging off...at least I had a rental and my own car was in the shop that day.

We would call it a "fender bender" here. Haven't had many accidents fortunately. Just one, from a stupid mistake (my fault).
