So what are you playing while we wait?

Skyrim, just playing slow and exploring a lot and not accepting a ton of quests to try and keep my file size down.

Once my save file gets large enough, and I can't handle the frame rate issues.. I'll probably move back to Catherine. I'm 1 night away from beating that game! : D

my lag hasnt become that bad yet but the early signs are showing. so this weekend I started up what I was planning on being my second character. GANDALF. I'm going to switch between my first character (a Khajiit) and Gandalf. Then if Gandalf gets bad before the fix comes out I'll start up my third character which will be a warrior, maybe a nord or imperial. haven't decided on the third yet.

This is basically what I'm doing too.

I'm considering picking up deus ex cheap... But i'm conscious that I still need to buy dark souls at some point and still need to buy mw3... It's a shame, I could've prioritised dark souls and averted the issue all together :sadvaultboy:

Uncharted 3, by a developer who seems to give a [censored] about quality...

No install, no loading, no stuttering, no lag, just perfect in any given moment. Most complex animations graphics and effect on a console and the game doesnt drop a single frame wether you are engaging one target or 40 targets while on top of a moving sinking huge cruiser ship that turns upside down. filled with water.

Maybe Bethesda should give a call to Naughty Dog and ask them to fix the lag issue on Skyrim. I am pretty sure its a piece of cake for them...

Maybe a seminar on how to program for PS3 by Naughty Dog would help them seriously lol..

And dont give me that crap about open world and yada yada... If Naughty Dog made this game it wouldnt lag like [censored] all the time...because as a company they have higher standards than stuttering 15 frames per second if you engage 2 targets and lag everywhere. Besides we have seen other complex open world games none played so crap ever...

Skyrim. I just pretend the lag doesn't exist. It's really just a turn based JRPG. . .

Quite a few large open world games on PS3 that I've had no problems with: Far Cry 2 and GTA4 spring to mind.

Red dead redemption
Borderlands
GTA
LA Noire
Infamous 1+2
Dark Souls (its one coherent world)
Just cause 2

Seriously if anyone even brings the argument of Skyrim's supposed "complexity" to even remotely justify this [censored] of programing material they call "game" I will LOL hard.

Nothing justifies how crap this game is made for PS3...nothing...

Its not the console its the "we dont give a [censored] about you PS3 people" approach bethesda has.

I loved Uncharted 3 :) but you have a point and actually I pointed it out last night while playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations, that it has alot going on it (people walking about, people standing about, the amazing real looking sky, fire breathers, romanies dancing, random pickpockets and templar people trying to stab you in the back ect ect ect) and the framerate in that is amazing.

Final Fantasy XIII was kinda crap. Don't get me wrong, fascinating story. But game play wise, it was crap. Do me a favor and play XII if you haven't, the combat system of XIII is a watered down streamlined version of XII's. Had you been able to pick spell priority for paradigms in XIII I'd have no problems, and it would have basically been the same as the gambit system in XII. Just gambits with paradigms, so you can only use certain actions while in certain roles but you still get to chose the priority/trigger of those actions. Just choosing a role and spamming auto doesn't really qualify as a game to me, I mean damn at least make me feel like I'm making choices. Kick ass visual novel though...

I have played all of the Final Fantasy games (excluding XI and XIV since I don't like online gaming) and I hated with a passion Final Fantasy XII.

Spending time with the family first off.

As far as playing anything, I'm waiting for the patch to start over on Skyrim. Until then, I noticed the Splinter Cell trilogy was on PSN so I got that.

Wishing my gaming laptop wasn't dead. I'd be playing Fallen Earth

Finally playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution after my amazing sister got me a copy of the EU Collector's Edition for my birthday last week (yes I know I'm late to the party!).
Absolutely loving it so far. Amazing game, and definitely worthy of the Deus Ex name unlike Invisible War.

I started playing Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 lol, it's a sad day when you would rather play a lego game than an open world RPG
