So what are you playing while we wait?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 3:33 pm

What are the rest of you guys playing while we wait for this dreadful frame-rate issue to be fixed? (IF it gets fixed that is)

Edit: I seem to need to clarify, what are you playing if your Skyrim game has become unplayable due to the frame-rate issue.
Edit: Oh and by the way I'm playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Just like a real captain also sails the red seas, a real player also plays with epic framerate issues.

I just think to myself "the dragons unleashed framerate issues onto skyrim, lets slay em all".

I don't know how you guys can do that, the game bores me to death when I'm "playing a slideshow".

But good on you's for being so patient lol ^_^

I started playing dark souls again over the weekend. But I want to play Skyrim really bad!
I went to the store a couple of hours ago to return Skyrim or at least trade it in for an xbox version... they knew about the problems and apparently I wasn't the first to return my game.
Sadly, they wouldn't take it back, the best they could do was take it off my hands for used-games sales (for 23€ (I bought it for 60€)).

I'm going to start a new game tonight, turn auto-save off and hope for the best (and hopefully an update that fixes everything by the time I hit a dead end again).

My current game is totally broken... framerate is stuck at about 15, skillbooks don't work, sprint doesn't work, shouts don't work, dragon's don't die (last one I 'killed' was stuck in the ground, waist deep, health bar at zero but alive. He did not take any damage from arrows, swords or magic, kept turning his head toward me as I circled around him... then he finally died when I pulled a finisher move), last time I started the game it crashed after 5 minutes, haven't tried again since then.

Stalker: Call of Pripyat and Metro 2033 on my recently upgraded PC. I was stupid enough to buy Skyrim for my PS3 but now I'm stuck with it.

That must have been a bummer when you realised the game is screwed. Especially if you enjoy playing on PC.

Bf3, cause I get less lag on EA's crappy servers. Really want to play Skyrim but its just not enjoyable watching my brand new ps3 stutter. I can't see myself picking it up again if it doesn't get fixed.

I really hate Bethesda for this, I'm pretty skint at the moment, had to sell 6 of my games to Bf3 & Skyrim, now I only have Bf3 to play, thanks a lot Bethesda you make Activision seem like reasonable company. [censored]S.

I wish I had Revelations. I love Skyrim and my love for this series is strong, but if it's not ready to really be played, I would have rather waited and been playing Revelations right now, instead. Regardless, until Skyrim becomes literally unplayable, I'm still playing it despite the continually worsening performance issues. I cant' get enough of the game, but I know what's going to come. I need help... and companies need to release products which function on the date they're supposed to function by.

I just started a new character. I made a few dumb perk choices on my first one, and since I can't reset my perks, I just figured I'd start over, even though I was 65+ hours in. I'm just doing different quest-lines and saving the ones I did on my first character for later.

I'm 14 hours in on this save, 5.1mb, and it's just starting to lag in Whiterun. I actually just got off to restart my system. I'm trying to aviod as much lag as possible for now.

Even at 11mb my game isn't bad enough for me to not play it. I just play for a few hours, let the PS rest. Go out and do something, experience nature, pack a bowl, who knows. Then hop back on Skyrim after an hour or so.
