This takes a smithing score of 30 and the Dwarven Smithing perk. Depending on what your character's stats are, this could be very easy or a PITA (actually it's a PITA no matter what). Anyway...

Go to Markarth and be sure to have a follower with you. Find Cacelmo near the Dwarven ruin there. Get the quest from him to kill Nime the giant spider. Then search the Imperial soldier in front of the Dwarven doors and you will be given a quest to find three dead guys.

The ruin is a tough one but well worth. By completing the quest you have access to a mountain of Dwarven Metal. It took Lydia and I 3 full trips with both of us fully loaded to get it all back to Whiterun.

The take resulted in about 370 Dwarven Ingots. That comes out to 92 Dwarven armors you can make, with each one improved. If you don't want to improve any of them that's 123 Dwarven armors. But improve them because you get way more bang for your ingot.

Uhhh, just use the follower command to make her pick it all up and carry it at once, followers have no carry weight limit when you do that. I've had my follower carrying over 3000 pounds before, and still running right behind me.

Seriously, this question can't be answered in a very helpful manner unless the OP reveals more about his build.

How about doing Delvin's and Vex's quests (50g at PC level 1, 250(?) at level 20 and above, maybe up to 500 in the high levels). And using the opportunity of traveling around Skyrim in the course of these quests to raid the alchemy shops of Giant Toes. Then mix up the Giant Toes, Blue Butterfly Wings and Blue Mountain Flowers and sell the potions.

While earning your 15k in that way, you:
  • work on the restoration of the Thieves Guild
  • work on your pickpocketing / lockpicking / sneak skills
  • work on your alchemy skill
  • work on your speechcraft skill
I think that's more productive than player.additem f 15000 or chopping wood. :)

Do not use Giant Toes as advised. This ingredient is very rare and I suppose you cannot yet kill giants. Furthermore giants are peaceful and are not to be killed. Except for the one with a bounty. It's so easy to replace this ingredient by others more common. Besides at low level vendors do not have much money. Raiding dungeons and wood chopping are the best way with alchemy. Harvest all kind of ingredients you find on your way. You don't really have to buy them. My best way for me at low level was to smith lots of daggers and, even with a low enchantment on it, sell them.

That is if the OP even wants to rebuild the thieves guild, but I digress again. Easiest/fastest way to make money in the beginning of the game is clear Kolskeggr mine, get the transmute spell, then just buy iron ore transmuting it and selling the gold ore 50 each to Pavo Attius. When magicka runs out wait a hour.

I've never done the math, but I know it took me less than 8 hours to get enough for Breezehome and get a good start at Smithing. I just do it while watching movies or posting here. It's far less frustrating to me than running back and forth between dungeons and containers and vendors and having to wait for them to have cash again. Plus, at low levels Draugr are far more dangerous than wood-chopping animations.

It was merely an example of what I do. I loathe games much quicker when I can only carry a few pieces of armor and am running back and forth to sell it.

Oh, if you go the transmute way, then you can as well do it while your follower chops some firewood. He chops, you cast. Two tedious things done simultaneously. :)

Also, Giant Toes + Blue Butterfly Wings + Blue Mountain Flowers gives potions that are worth SO much more than other potions. If you want to powerlevel Alchemy a bit, they're the way to go. But of course, 200 potions made of useless Purple Mountain Flowers and Thistle Branches or something like that are also worth a bit. It's just that the Giant Toes are the best ingredient for really valuable merchant fodder.

I'll tell u my secret of me getting 20K gold in half an hour. No cheat codes XD ha ha

Use the secret chests
There is one in Dawnstar
Go to the place near the mine (on the left) and look for it between the stones.
After you got the money.. Wait for 2 days and talk to the Khajiits again..
Keep repeating the process.

With useless Purple Mountain Flowers (as you said) I add Wheat and I get Poison potions of 196. As your Damage Stamina is worth 1540 in adding Giant Toes, only 10 potions of my Poison of Lingering Damage Magicka will be more worthy than your creation with Giant Toe. Besides I can create lots of those potions as the ingredients are very common. I wonder if you can create more than 5 at the start... Besides, if I use Imp stool with Fungal Pod (or Canis Root) very common in the caves and dungeons, I obtain a Poison of Paralysis potion worth 781. Only 2 of them reach your potion. And so on...... So forget Giant toes to make big money. Just use common ingredients. If sometimes you find a giant toe, use it of course but Invisibility (Nirnroot and Chaurus Eggs), worth 717, are also very interesting potions for selling. I must state that I am just comparing it without using any fortify alchemy and that my skill in alchemy is 100 with all perks.
Edit: Using Giant's Toe with Blue Mountain Flowers only you get a Fort. Health worth 1333 so keep your Blue Butterfly wings for other potions...

Although this has been reported to permanently break followers ability to carry anything by some users on these forums.
