Where is Bethesda? We say we have problems after the patch t

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 10:16 pm

Is this expectable? Every other games developer would be all over this wanting to know what issues there are with the latest patch for their game.

Why does Bethesda not seem to care? Is it because they have our money and any fixes they make will cut into their profit margin?

I hope this isn't the case but these issues have been all over the forum since the patch was released and nothing has been said. What else are we supposed to think?

Bethesda, Please tell us at least something! We are all paying customers and without us you would not be making the great (if buggy) games you do now.

Hahah

Good luck waiting for Bethesda to communicate with it's users. No doubt their PR machine will throw some nonsense out later via twitter.

It probably has to do with the fact that they haven't released the patch everywhere and most people don't have it yet. They haven't even posted the patch notes yet. Some people have the impulse control of an 8 year old (if you are 8 years old, I apologize). Learn some patience. And don't give me 'it's already been, like, two weeks,' or you'll just prove my point.

Other than a working patch I feel this is what we are missing most. This is some horrible PR! They needed to come out and fully explain what they are doing. A tweet is not good enough. Is that all we are worth? Once back when gaming may have targeted children but we grew up, got jobs, and spend money. This isn't right..!

I'm not sure about their European PR, but Bethesda is an American company. Depending where they are located its between 8-10 in the morning. They are either just arriving to work, or will be arriving in an hour or so. Have some patience.

they are no different to EVERY other company....ofcourse they are not going to be on hand straight away to answer whining threads.

What do you want them to say exactly?

They can't promise anything until it's either fixed or being fixed.... Until then wait or take the game back.

Man [censored] this. This mess should have been fixed last week and we all know this. Using "thanksgiving week" as an excuse is unacceptable. Thanksgiving isn't the entire damn week.

Relax man... [censored] some of you people are über-neurotic-panic-freaks. Just chill alright? First of all, don't use the word "we"; some people are still experiencing problems, not everybody. Bethesda released a new patch this morning, which is incredibly early, how in hell do you think they can address problems regarding it already. Give it some time. Patience is gold my friend.

Patience is gold my friend.

Yeah lets all wait for our game that we paid for to be patched whenever it is convenient. Does that sound right to you?

Patience people, we'll get this all fixed when Bethesda is good and damn ready. It's amazzzzzin.

Are you honestly telling me if you ran a company that just released a game to millions of people who were finding serious problems that you wouldn't want to know how your latest fix was working out?

Patience? Don't give me that "patience" BS. I've been waiting years for a [censored] Fallout 3 patch, and they had 5 [censored] years to start and finish this game (between oblivion and now). Makes me sick.

First off, try waiting in game (say, resting in a bed) for 7 in-game days. Some things take a month to refresh but seven days should significantly improve performance.

Secondly, those of you who continued playing the game even when you noticed bad glitching in quests will most likely not be able to alleviate the quest glitches that took place because you saved after they happened (your game's save file then includes a glitch).

The patch fixes the memory dumping problem (it wasn't dumping the memory when it should), not the problems the user caused by continuing to save glitches.

True story ^. Which is why once I get the patch I'm starting a new fresh game. I bet that most people having issues are using the post patch save file =P

Actually i don't see MILLION PEOPLE around. I know that million people bought the game, and we see maybe a thousand people here. You don't know the real extent of the problems.

I'll go try this now and let you know how it works out, if I can use shops and play the game properly I will love you forever :)

Some of you really need some perspective on life. Seriously. Go get some. None of this [censored] is important. They'll fix it when they fix it. If they don't, then oh well. Lesson learned = don't buy from them again. I wonder how many of you mouth-breathers are going to have coronaries at an early age due to your massive over the top reaction to such miniscule things.

As I said in a previous post they can't fix broken quests in YOUR save file...they perhaps have fixed the quest glitching in the first place which obviously will only be seen in a new game....

I would definitely want to know. And I would want to have the widest possible knowledge of the issues, which means collecting information from more than just a few people having tested it for 2 or 3 hours. And after gathering that information I would want to actually be able to review the information, verify it, and come up with a meaningful response. The obliviousness to reality and lack of critical thinking on this board is ridiculous. The ratio of pointless whining to constructive posts is freaking pathetic. If I were at Bethesda reading this crap I'd be just about ready to say 'F*** it'. It's because of crap like this that we're lucky they even bother. And yes, a company has a responsibility to its customers but you people are f***ing stretching it and there's only so much abuse and ignorance people can take. For the greatest marvel of the modern world, the internet can sure be a bi*** sometimes.

Love,

After you try it, please post back for the benefit of others. I'm not sure what affect it'll have if you played the game to the point that shops stopped talking to you.

I know for the forums to be so active there must be a major problem. Are you telling me it doesn't bother you even a tiny bit that a game I assume you bought is not working as it should? Let's imagine you bought a car and the brakes didn't work, that would kind of ruin my day.

I'm not Bethesda bashing so the [censored] can cool off. I love the game I just wish I could play it how it should be played.
