I just got back from the store and I put my new game in, excited as all hell. I'm sitting there waiting for the harddrive to read it. So I go into My Computer and find my drive and it's saying there's no disk. I've updated any sort of driver that could do anything to my harddrive but nothing is working. I've put in other games/music cds/dvds and everything else worked but THIS disk. It's a CD DVD (I don't think they even make games that aren't on these any more..?) And my drive can read these. Any sort of way I could fix this? The store I go to is a no-return policy on games.. So I'd be sorta screwed. Thanks.

I don't know if this will help you, but you can simply register the activation code with Steam and download the entire game from Steam. You don't need the disc itself, it just makes the process faster (depending on Internet speed).
Thanks for the reply, but the thing is I have awful internet. I have a monthly cap of something like 40gigs and in a apartment of 3 people sorta goes fast.. Any idea how big it is? I might just do that. Thanks.

5740MB according to my install. So 5.6GB.
You sure you have a DVD-ROM drive? You can always replace that if the laser isn't reading disc it should. Optical drives are fairly cheap, most are under 30 USD.
Yup, 100% sure. All my other games are CD/DVD games. It seems with this game it just spins and spins and ever READS the disk, I really hope it's the DVD-ROM and not the CD, else I'm rather screwed till next month.
So I bought a DVD-Rom just to make 100% sure it wasn't that and still, nothing. Bad luck, I suppose. I at least can exchange it when they get more in Thursday.
