To get the current Wrye to work for NV:
1) D/L Wrye Python 04a from here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368
2) Run it. Install it all.
3) Install Wrye NV as you normally would and follow the instructions for creating a bashed patch.
To be honest, Wrye is extremely complicated to use, and is NOT for novices. It's no wonder no one here uses it. The only reason I'm as good as I am with it is due to the years of modding with Oblivion (for which the community blows this one out of the water). It is not just "plug and play" that a vast majority of users expect it to be, which is why I must suggest novices stay away from compilations. However, Wrye is easily the best tool we have for combining/altering mods (perhaps next to FNVedit), and when people come on here to poo-poo it - it's ignorance talking.
I always look at people that want a quick answer for sophisticated tools like this, and I'll give the advice I think most should heed: READ the documentation. Figure it out for yourself. I did. No one taught me how to use Wrye or FNVedit, and this was before the "training manual" for FNVedit. It was a lot of trial and error. If you want to mod these games, you need patience and the ability to comprehend what you read.
I apologize for the rant, but I see this here and at the Nexus constantly. Just wish people would think and read more.
