xbox 360 Multi screen?

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:47 pm

hello,

i just upgraded my xbox 360 to a 3 screen wrap for forza 4 when its released next month and i was wondering if Elder Scrolls 5 would work on this sytstem. OOOOH i hope so, forza is amazing on this system and can you imagine what skyrim would look like having dragons fly across 3 32" monitors.

i had to buy 3 copies of forza 3 and had to pre-order 3 copies of forza 4 to use the 3 screens, i have pre-ordered skyrim and if this works i will spend no time at all running to game and pre-ordering another 2 copies.

there are plenty of other 3 screen users out there on the xbox 360 and only 1 game that supports 3 screens.

please Bethesda go 1 step further than the rest of the games developers and support this system. be the next 3 screen game, you will be surprised how many people will play this game this way. I bet PC eyefinity users will be playing this game on their system.

highly doubt it as it will be pushed to it's limits as it is to render the game as it is let alone have enough resources left over to fill another 2 screens....

Interesting, you require three copies because you would be linking together three different xbox units?

so the total resolution is 3840x720?

Is Forza 4 the only xbox game that does this? If so, considering Skyrim's panoramic views, it sounds like it would be great for anyone who has this type of setup; however, it seems to be a very rare feature at this point and perhaps a bit complicated for the devs to implement.

Sounds pretty damned expensive to me. 3 monitors, 3 games and 3 Xbox's?

Just curious, why not go PC if you want Multiscreens? Much less expensive.

That's a good question; I've been meaning to ask about multiple monitors on the PC version. I'll start another thread for it.

If you have the money to get three copies of the game and three 360's and three screens, Why don't you just get a PC with ATi eyefinity spec ?

yes to be able to play on 3 screens you need 3 of everything thats the monitors, xbox's and the games, plus a switch box to connect them together and then connect the whole system to the internet for live. and to answer the 1st response, the resourses won't push the xbox because 1 machine will be handling the centre view and another machine will be hadling the left......etc you get the idea. so being able to handle things i dont think it will be a problem.

tried to insert an image of my setup from photobucket but it doesn't work :(

that makes no sense, you still have to buy the 3 screens so the extra is 2 xbox's costing about £75 each compared to a base station with that 5 series ati about ......i dunno hundreds i suspect. plus no forza on pc

Perhaps s/he is happy with his/her setup and doesn't want to change it? Ever think of that?

yesa i can understand this, but i read a piece on the development of FM4 and i quote:

"We also share techniques, so we work with the guys from Epic, from 343, we work with the guys from Bungie and we trade secrets."

that was taken from an interview with Creative director Dan Greenawalt from Turn 10, here is the link to the interview about pushing the limits of xbox 360

http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/forza_4/news/turn_10_on_pushing_the_xbox_360_with_forza_4.html

so why cant Bethesta get on the phone to turn 10 and ask them how they do it?

normally, i would take that as a joke... but considering how the internet usually is, i dont know.

anyway, i like to keep it simple... a single HDTV and one system is all i need.

You forget the three copies of the game and the lowest in the consumer series hd5000 is actually less than $40 :flamethrower: ; Makes sense if its just forza though.

but i would still have to gop out and buy another piece of equipment as i use a laptop. but i have considered it seeing as i can only use my £1400 setup on 1 game. but if i could use it on skyrim ooooh it would look soo sweet, oh and what about MW3
