Anyone used the console to remove smithing perks?

So I went against my gut feeling and spam leveled smithing to get daedric armor. Honestly, for me it's taken a bit of joy out of the game. I always dislike crafting in any game I play, including other ES games, so I'm not sure why I thought this would be any different. I prefer to use found gear, it's more fun and rewarding for my play style.

To get my perks back, I'm considering using the console and then dumping my daedric armor for something more suitable for my level (22). Some light googling revealed the procedure for removing perks using the console, I just wonder if anybody had any personal experience "fixing" their perks in this way.

Thanks!

I have. I went through the smithing tree up through light armor for dragonscale realizing, "Oh sh*t, I can't craft weapons!" I removed each perk one at a time in the order I placed them. So I removed Dragon, then Glass, to Advanced Armors to Elven. Keep in mind it doesn't auto return your perks used so I kept track of the number of perks I took off with a piece of paper and would scratch them off once I replaced perks using the console.

One thing to note. When adding perks, do so in the correct order for perks that have more than 1 level (so don't add rank 5 before you have added rank 1-2-3-4; it has known bugs associated with it). It is also suggested to place them in the correct order in the tree so add ebony before daedric, etc. Same goes with removing to be safe imo. Also save often.

Thanks, just the type of feedback I was looking for!
