Glowing Eyes BUG!

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 12:32 am

You had me excited there for a moment, going " Good fix" and all. But this is pretty useless IMO. I switch back and forth into third person and first person all the time, as do many others.
Same here. he almost break my heart :violin:
Third person for discovery. Firt person to fight.

Tips: do not use showracemenu to switch race, you could loose your lvl at your best skill.

Ah sorry guys, I should've noted this is coming from someone that plays in 3rd person 24/7. The temp fix worked for me as long as I did it every time I reloaded a save.

My character's glowing eyes don't look exactly like the screen shot, the glow is green and it looks like green light is being shined on his eye sockets. I don't have the aurora whisper shout, but I do have Kyne's Peace which produces the proper shade of green. However, going back to a save from before I got the bug, I haven't been able to replicate it. As to where I may have picked it up, I've been doing mages guild quests, though not exclusively.

This is a very annoying glitch, and I can't believe there is no way to fix it...Please Bethesda, patch your game, because this glitch completely breaks the immersion for me. I can't even backtrack, so I'm stuck looking ridiculous. This glitch is definitely linked to the aura whisper.

Why in the world would you want to get rid of that? IT'S AWESOME! How do I glitch my eyes?

It would be awesome, but it just looks very glitchy.... One eye will constantly flicker in and out and it leaves this trail that is so long that it goes through the back of your head. Very disappointed with the amount of glitches I've run into so far, but this one is the worst as it is constant. Even turning into a werewolf doesn't fix the problem as it just comes right back when I go into first person view.

Anyone found anything that works yet? This glitch really makes me not want to play this game, and I'm definitely not starting over...

I have a glitch with my eyes someone says is from invisibility. I used a potion. All my prior saves have the glitch now.

Must not be too many of us with this particular glitch. Have a feeling it's going to take a patch or a tool like Wrye Bash to fix though, doubt there is a workaround.

That's exactly what I was thinking, the glitch isn't significant enough to be noticed, it probably won't be fixed officially. :unsure2:

My girlfriend has the same bug!
Been trying to fix it by (console commands/mods), but it's still there.
Hopefully there will be a patch soon.

That would be the case if they actually looked good, it's just a glitchy ball of orbs floating where your eyes are, usually it's like one eye is turned off then vice versa. Not to mention the obnoxious glowing trail that follows you where ever you go.

I figured out another way to trigger this. I used "Turn Undead" on a Skeleton and my companion killed that undead immediately before the spell effect wore off, and then my eyes got bugged.

It's probably a particle effect using a default glow colour instead of a texture. I got this too, but they're hidden inside my Khajit's head so it's not a real problem for me (but I do get green flickering in first person very rarely)

It's strange that you can make it go away in third person using the sixchange console command twice, but it comes back as soon as you go into first person.

I got so sick of it I actually resorted to a save game nine levels and about 25 hours earlier to get rid of it. I almost wish more people were impacted by this bug so there would be more people trying to solve it.

I've taken to making a new save every time I level up so that I always have a fairly recent one to go back to if I get the bug again. So far, I haven't reacquired it.

I noticed it soon enough and went back save by save until I didn't have it then played through my same steps and watched for it. You know, like a tester would...or should have done.

Bravo! This says it all.

This bug I wouldn't it is game breaking, since I play in first person most of the times, but if i make a quick upwards mouse movement, both eye beams show a bit. Even the Krosis mask isn't enough to hide this monstrosity.

Tried every single possible step at my power to overcome this but nothing works (even that so "messiah" performance mod didn't fix it as people were supposing).

Let's hope bethesda actually cares about this game for a change since the last couple of them were completely ignored.

cheers
